I don't know if you all remember the trailer saga from last year...but our new trailer is finished!!
Jeff is on his way home from Iowa...pulling his new trailer...we will have happy hunters and dogs this hunting season!!

The Perfect Dozen have all found their forever homes...we are so happy and excited about all of their families. They are lucky pups!!
This morning we had three pups still at the kennel...they had a big play and then settled in...when I looked over this is what I saw...
Needless to say...it melted my heart ...two of these pups left today and arrangements are in the works to get the last one home...

This little guy is 8 weeks old and ready to find his forever home!!
He is a little go getter and so very sweet. We call him Shadow...
He will be the perfect age for hunting season next year!!

Our something new was provided courtesy of Mother Nature...SNOW...not much, but enough to say the pups got to play in the snow. I love the snow...and the puppies did too!! After breakfast they took off...to their favorite spot...the creek!!! They played for awhile and then let me know their toes were cold! So we headed home and finished our adventure inside...CARPET TIME...to play, dry off and warm up!!

As promised...pictures from our adventure...
They truly are a perfect bunch of babies...they are bold and confident, sweet and cuddly...all rolled into a small little package!!
Our job is almost complete...they are more than ready for their adventure of leaving Blackjack Kennels...their people are excited...plane reservations are made, going home times are set...we are praying that the weather holds until all of these babies and their people make it safely home!!

Another big adventure with The Perfect Dozen...
They decided where to go this morning....I just followed and watched the magic of puppies!!
I didn't add music to the video...and it is a long one...sorry...not sorry...I wanted you to experience the adventure as close to what I see/hear. Other than an occasional whistle to call the pups back for a quick head count...it is just the sound of the leaves under 48 little paws...I love that sound!! 😊 I do talk to the pups ...just not on this video. We played in the creek bed for close to an hour...

The Perfect Dozen have reached the point in their journey when I, Mamashar, start feeling sentimental and... a little sappy. I start thinking about being with these babies, when they took their first breath, found their momma and nursed for the first time...all of those firsts we have experienced together and will continue to experience until the moment they leave.
They have reached the point where they lead the way...they no longer need me to guide them, they still look to me for reassurance and praise...but they are brave and confident and are becoming independent!! They will soon be meeting the people that will take over my job, of loving and guiding them...they will look to them, for praise and understanding!
We have amazing families that take these babies home to love! I am beyond thankful for that!!
During this last week...we go on as many adventures as we can, get as many cuddles as we can... cherish all of the moments.
This morning on our adventure we went to a spot along Mud Creek where we could walk down into the creek bed...it is mostly dry...with so many places to explore...the pups ran and played for close to an hour. I just stood and smiled thinking about how far they had come in just 7 weeks...I am proud of these little ones!! Just as their name says...they really are the Perfect Dozen...

It is the PERFECT day to be a puppy...almost 60° on December 30th...we took a long walk this afternoon...fresh air and sunshine!!!
The pups ran and played and explored. We walked to what was our little pond. We are about 13 inches behind on rain...so we played where the pond is supposed to be!! The puppies had a great adventure!! The Perfect Dozen are one week away from going home day!

Because I think it is so darn PERFECT!! Another puppy chow video...
Typically in the mornings...Jeff takes the pups on a walk, while I let the big dogs out and make puppy chow...then I bring the food out and call the pups for breakfast. This morning they were a long way away...but they still came running!! I don't think they could possibly be any cuter!! 😊
After they eat...then we go on their big adventure...I will post more later from our morning adventure!!

When you are getting old...and the cold makes you feel sore...you get to spend the winter inside on the heated floor...We love these boys so very much!! They go on the morning fun run every morning and on the weekend hunting trips. They are definitely slowing down...Ace on the left (12 1/2 ) Winston on the right (12 in two weeks)...

Our adventure to the big pond...In the summer...I hope that we will have some swimmers...this time of year I pray they stay dry....🥶. They were curious about the water and a couple dipped their toes in and decided to go no further!! They did enjoy the walk and exploring!!
The Perfect Dozen are go getters...they ALL love to go and explore!! They are amazing little pups!!
I missed a lot of good shots on our adventure...my touch screen gloves don't work well and my voice activated shot has a delay...so when my fingers could take no more, I put the phone away! If anyone has gloves that the touch fingers actually work well...comment with the brand please!!

6 week shots and exams are in the books...Dr. Patty said The Perfect Dozen are indeed PERFECT!! All of the pups were very well behaved and they all passed their exams with flying colors...

The Perfect Dozen are 6 weeks old...I don't know how time can go so fast!!
Our weather has been cold and rainy, the pups are having their adventures inside. They love carpet time!! They get to warm up and...get extra snuggles
They are spunky and fun and oh so sweet!! They are completely weaned and are eating their food whole ...no more gruel. We add water to the food, to help with hydration and to prevent choking. They do get to eat it dry occasionally...I spread it out on the carpet and they have to hunt and find it. It is a fun little game...they also LOVE playing with empty feed sacks. They love the sound it makes. Even though we are playing inside...they are still learnimg new things every day!! They go to see Dr. Patty tomorrow for their 6 week shots and exams...
Plans are being made for going home day...
We do have 2 males available...tell all of your friends!!
FYI...Girls are wearing pink collars boys are in blue.
