Would you like to foster? All RHR dogs are kept in foste

r homes - without dedicated foster homes we couldn't save lives! Rottweiler Hearts Rescue Rottweilers will be placed in pre-approved, screened, foster homes. Each foster must complete a foster application and sign a foster contract. RHR foster dogs must be kept indoors as part of the family. RHR will provide all medical care and can loan fosters any supplies they may need. We ask fosters to provide food, love, and some basic training and house manners. We have the "Foster Buddy" program where we match up a volunteer with each foster to help that foster as needed. This could be picking up the dog for a vet visit or taking the dog to an event if the foster is unable. If you would like to donate to our rescue, our PayPal is [email protected] - and Venmo is Thank you!

Happy adoption announcement 🎉🐾

Great news from Rottweiler Hearts Rescue!

Max and Maddie from New Hanover County have officially been adopted by Michele Varner-Southern and her husband.

These two had run out of time when super rescuer Rebecca Godley leaped into action. Thank you for the tremendous effort you put into their rescue and thank you Michelle for adopting both of them. They are so up inside of each other it would have been criminal to separate them.

Majesty has come a long way in her foster home. Here is an update from her foster momma.....
Majesty- Rottie Mix? Age 6-12 mo
✔️ Cat friendly
✔️ dog friendly
✔️ critter curious (geese)

Majesty came to us scared of everything. She had fear based reactivity. The first two weeks she had to have a leash on in order for us to bring her in and out of the crate for potty breaks. She did not trust humans. Somewhere in her past they let her down. She was a scared puppy that had to have interaction with humans on her own terms. Our vet understood her fear based needs and spent lots of time low on the floor passing out treats, not pushing her boundaries. She has come so far and enjoys canine companionship. She is a follower, not a leader.

She has been in my foster care for six months and is ready to find her forever family.

Majesty weighs 60 pounds is crate trained . New surroundings she is on the timid side. Anything that is new and unchartered will require extra patience giving her the time to sniff and investigate before she will commit to confidence. We have been able to go to tractor supply happy visits to the vets office where there are no expectations except getting treats. She does good on walks, especially when there’s a companion with her.

Best home for her is with another friendly outgoing, dog (s) home, potentially quieter home with older kids that wont force her into their personal space nor hers. She has slept in my room with my other dog.

She is an avid agile talented counter surfer. Nothing food related is safe on the counters unattended . 🤦‍♀️She is a thief of the countertops. She has high agility abilities and pops over my 3.5 vinyl picket fence with ease. She will need 5’ minimal fencing.

Meet Bradford 😍

How is this boys still waiting to be adopted?? He is neutered - juvenile -Blind in one eye, which does not affect him. Has seen 3 vets for his eye, the last one being an eye specialist.

Bradford is a very happy dog - all the time. He does not have bad days ever. He does seek attention by jumping up and we are working on this. He gets so excited for his people he forgets to mind his manners. He walks nicely on leash. Loves all the female dogs in residence. Crate trained and will get into things if left unattended. Does not destroy just finds papers or loose items to play with. Barks his displeasure if you leave him in crate and he sees you but you don't let him out when you are in his presence. 🤷‍♀️Loves being outside- find him snoozing in the sun on our warm weather days.

✔️Cat friendly
✔️Female dog friendly
✔️Would need to meet n greet if you have a male dog.
✔️Older kid friendly as he does jump and go between your legs. Might knock the Littles down.

He has puppy type antics and attention span of a toddler at times. Busy boy. He asks for attention by going between your legs and he is definitely a leaner on your body parts. If you know Rotties then you know THAT lean. Sometimes he uses his mouth to get your attention. He always has a grin on his face blind one eye looking like he is giving you a wink!

His forever family needs to be an active household to expel all all that energy. Bradford Plays fetch but sometimes doesn’t return it 🤦‍♀️ plays nicely in the group with my current females. He is a linebacker… short and thick . Perfect size weighing in at 70 lbs.

Current on all vaccinations HW Flea tick meds

Meet our sweet Raine. She is Very independent- can be left alone in house with no issues or easily goes into her crate. Cat friendly. Dog selective seems to be better with low energy dogs. Can raise reactivity to the level another dog approaches with. Loves kids from prior owner - obsessed with water and finding shadows. Easy maintenance type of pet. Sleeps on bed if you allow and loves attention but is not a Velcro dog. She hs been with me 11 months and deserves to have her own family. Don’t be afraid of her age she is active and healthy.
Current with vaccinations and heartworm/flea and tick prevention. Spayed.
