We are excited to share that our second Microchip Scanning Station is up and running! 🥳
This is purrfect timing because more pets are lost over the 4 th of July than any other time of the year. PLEASE make plans now to make sure your pet is safe this holiday!

This station is located at 350 College Park Road in Hillsborough near Durham Tech. It's at the GORGEOUS new Waterstone EMS and Firestation. It's in the back of the station in the parking lot island.

Many thanks to CD from Animal Aid Alliance of NC for helping us get this post in the ground! If y'all aren't familiar with this new organization check them out! They are doing amazing things supporting other rescue organizations. It takes a village!

We cannot stress this enough- no matter how "chill" or "cool" do you think your pets are, remember that when they see and hear fireworks they think the world is ending.
Every shelter is currently at capacity or beyond and the last thing they need is an influx of pets because people didn't take proper precautions.

Please spread the word about this new useful resource for our Orange County pets! Microchips save lives! 🐶😺

We’ve made helping free-roaming cats easier than ever. You can now self- schedule Mighty Mousers Program appointments! That means quicker drop-offs, easier trap rentals, and more purring peace of mind. Participants in the Mighty Mousers program will need to have an appointment scheduled before arriving at BAS beginning July 1.

We cannot believe how much our post on the new Pet Microchip Scanning Station was shared!
It was shared over 100 times and seen by more than 20,000 people!

This is beyond exciting. It brought lots of new people to our page, so we wanted to take a second to reintroduce ourselves to any newcomers! 😺

Cat Tales Cat Cafe and Cat Tales Rescue NC are local to the Chapel Hill area and exist to get cats rescued and adopted.

This is particularly important in our state, which consistently ranks among the top 3 in the country for highest euthanasia rates. This statistic is absolutely unacceptable and drives what we do day after day.

Our small but mighty rescue is incredibly financially efficient since the rescue is 100% volunteer and foster based. Instead of a shelter, we have the cat cafe which serves as our main avenue for adoption. Because the cat cafe generates its own income, the rescue is able to operate on a very streamlined budget. Which means every dollar donated does MORE for cats.

We currently have over 70 cats and kittens in our care at the rescue. We are very appreciative of each and every donation. For ideas on how to contribute, please swipe right!

🥁 DRUM ROLL PURRRRLEASE! 😻

We are ECSTATIC to share that the first of several Pet Microchip Scanning Stations in Orange County is up and running!!!!

This station is located at Orange Grove Firetation, 6800 Orange Grove Road in Hillsborough, at the end of Buckhorn Road.

This is the first of many stations (3 more coming very soon!) which will help reunite lost pets with their people quickly, safely, and without the need to wait for a vet or shelter to open.

Cat Tales Cat Cafe is thrilled to partner with Orange County Animal Services (NC) to make these a reality. There is a map of the stations on the OCAS website!

Wanna know what's NUTS?! 🥥

That this PURRFECT specimen is still at Cat Tales.
Coconut is the BEST!! She is seriously the easiest cat ever. She is 1-2 years old and the most polite, sweetest girl!
She loves attention but isnt demanding about it like some of these other knuckleheads.
She will wait quietly for her turn and be soooo happy to get loves.

Coco is great with other cats but could be fine solo too. She plays in a delicate adorable way! So she is sweet, fun AND easy!
This beauty would be great for someone older who wants a loving and wonderful companion, or a young professional who needs a self sufficient kitty- or any person in between! 🌴

Everyday is like a vacation with a Coconut in your life! 🍹
