This is Brandi. She's a year old. Blue Heeler/Dachshund. She is π₯° chasing flying bugs.

Loca (ASB/TWH 5yrs old) and Phoenix (black) jumping. They enjoy jumping. Loca is now jumping 2 ft.
Loca's first time being lead out. She has escaped so not the first time being out. π€£
We had a nice walk, but Phoenix wasn't happy his girl left him.π
We finally burned some of the brush. From this pile there is still a big oak log and some other oak logs that still need to finish burning. We ran out of time and had to put the fire out. Hopefully next fall we'll have the chance to burn some more..
As usual, had to put Buzz up otherwise I would have a fire horse. He has no problem putting his nose into it and stepping into the fire. I had to keep him penned up for 2 days, making sure the fire is actually out and good enough to allow Buzz back in.
The other horses wanted to help. They at least have respect for the fire and not look at it as a friend. I was able to keep them away and they would go back to their hay piles.
Ace (KMH 14 yrs old, I think) and his bridle. This is actually improvement. This is mild. If you've seen where we started, your jaw would be on the floor.
I just dangle the bit in front of him then he'll take it and I'll slide it up.
Because of the time Rose Evans took in playing with Rod, Haven got to play with him. This is Haven's first day learning about horses. I just let them loose and this is what they did.
Ace's opinion. "I'm done" He went well with the groundwork. He actually took his bit super quiet for the first time. He didn't grab anything of his bridle or reins. But he made it clear he didn't want to be ridden. I tried a few things hoping to change his mind but I had nothing.
Jazzer, Diesel, and Buzz having a Blast.
Jazzer, Diesel, and Buzz having a blast. Watch for Buzz's excited blows.
All of the white is sleet and it's still coming down. Ace touched the edge of the slushie pond and got all excited. Crazy nuts.
Nelson is doing great.
Marshal (blind) on the Boulder 12-22-21
Marshal (blind ) got up on the boulder for the very first time. We've never done anything with the boulder before.
(Oh there is a moment where the camera is moving around. I edited quite a bit out. Cowboy (32 yrs old) decided he wanted to be the cameraman's helper or maybe be the cameraman. He likes to supervise. lol)
Marshal missed Rosie going into the picadero and I saw the boulder so thought let's try. To do this with no lead line is totally amazing.
I got on the boulder because I could feel he needed more information. He can feel how high I was and I had two fingers placed just inside his mask so he can feel me. It helps with his confidence when he's trying to trust me.
I also felt he got enough info and felt I was in his way so I got off the rock.
there was a point where he kinda jumped that was because I forgot to say"touch" it prepares him for the touch. Touch means anywhere on his body. And he searches for the energy to where it might touch him.
When he stopped before going further to go into the entrance of the picadero watch for his tongue. Him stopping was him being nervous and not sure that we can walk through there because the gate might be closed. The tongue is evidence of his stress.
Rosie made it into the arena with Marshal. I forgot to close their gate and this is what happens.
Rosie short steps but she is feeling good
Last winter she was in an awful state and I was thinking she might be done but look at her now
She is one tough girl. The snorting is Rosie.
Love How Interested Rod was.
You'd think we've been working with him with the ball. We haven't. He saw a ball for the first time when he was 4 yrs old and it was for one day. All he did was spook and then pushed it because that's what Rosie, the pony, showed him.
He is now 13 yrs old and this was his 2nd time seeing a ball. First time, having it bounced, rolled and tossed around his body.
I love the trust that had build over the years.

Nelson Rolling (part 2 )on his Grain Pan
Nelson will position his grain pan, usually at his shoulder or rump. He will sometimes try to keep his nose in the pan and roll at the same time. Sometimes, he'll stop in mid roll because he missed a tibbit. He'll lick the pan clean and then get back to finishing his roll. He is the only horse that does this.
Sometimes, the pan would stick to his shoulder or rump. It'll pop off when he'd shake the dust off.

A Fantastic Run
Rosie (pony who has laminitis) and Marshal (blind) running after cooling off in the pond. I had the main herd in the arena so they can have this time. Thank you Grace for catching this beautiful moment.
Buzz and his sugar
Buzz is sucking on his sugar cubes. Usually he'll stand out in the field by himself with his eyes almost closed, but he didn't want to leave me. When he's done with his sugar, he'll then suck on his tongue and his tongue would be sticking out a little bit. He's so cute when he's at these moments. Mentally, he can be any where between a month old - 2 years old at any given moment. I've seen him once where he acted more like a 3 year old. If I remember correctly he's 17 years old. He's really funny when he's a month old. He'll bring his front legs up like he's still trying to figure out how to use them. He loves it when I say " do you have a boo-boo" when he's hurt. He really wants to be hugged, but he cant' handle it. Since Diesel and Cowboy has entered his life, he's been doing a lot better with being touched. Everybody knows Buzz is just a baby.
Buzz had a blast today. We took several laps around the pasture. We haven't done this in quite some time. He talks and calls out to Mr. Truck. He loved it.
We did end up with a problem. He got a hold of the last bits of carrots and he tried eating the plastic bag. He was so good. I held his tongue and reached in pulling out bits of carrots. My hand went all the way back to his throat. No bag. I looked inside and I think it was in his cheek. It took a couple of tries and finally able to grab it. Buzz was so GOOOD!!! He didn't try fighting me. It was uncomfortable but I got the job done. GOOD BOY!!!
