I am so happy and proud to have shared Lugnut with Paycience. She bought a green-broke young steer last fall and fed/raised him to be a highly competitive show steer.

In June she took him to the first Belted Galloway Junior Nationals in Ohio, winning Champion Appendix Steer.

Last week she showed him at the Big E in New England. She showed Lugnut to a 'Highly Recommended' award, qualifying for the sale. Her hard work and people skills earned her a bid of $9.75/pound in the sale.

We are so proud of this young lady (Paycience Boudreau of Massachusetts) and her steer, Rahe Family Belties Lugnut.

Paycience showed Lugnut at the Belted Galloway Junior National Show in Medina, Ohio.

She earned third place in Showmanship, Grand Champion Fitting Team and Grand Champion Appendix steer.

Lugnut is a son of Pine View Greyson and a commercial Angus x Maine cow and was raised on our farm.

Paycience and Lugnut have several shows ahead of them this fall. Good luck!

I am really high on this April 6 bull calf. Out of Greyson and our Dun Darling cow. Both parents are dun, but the calf is black. If you want a black Greyson bull, here he is. I think he will be very competitive in the show ring as well as sire attractive, fast growing cattle.

A few calf updates- April 5 bull calf 'Legend' May 9 heifer 'Little Britches' May 26 bull calf ' Laramie' I'll be weaning these and four others in September and they would be ready to show at World Beef, American Royal, NAILE, Hoosier Beef, and Cattleman's Congress this fall and winter. Calves are growing well and are made right. All purebred and will be registered. Get them early if you want to show them. It takes time to get paperwork sent through.
