Welcome to S Bar D & Special K Performance Horses. My husband an I are both combat veterans, but Are finally following our dream!! And both served time with Fort Riley's Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard, providing mounted support to our local community parades and events, as well as providing support during many on post functions such as retirement ceremonies and Operation Santa Clause drive! We have two beautiful children that are making their names known in this world as well!
We are a family and military friendly, drama free boarding facility, and also provide quality and custom training for you and your horses in a variety of equine events. If any group is interested in an open right rime, we are willing for those as well, as long as they fit in the schedule.
At our facility, we understand that the equine world is constantly growing and evolving. New events are always being introduced, as well as current events experience rule changes or updates. Care and nutrition needs of horses have changed through the years based on the performance requirements of the type of horse we are breeding for today. Therefore, as owners and trainers, though we have our own proven methods, we are always looking for different opportunities to increase our knowledge base and continue our education. Our trainers attend clinics approximately twice a year, just to broaden their knowledge and fill up their training "toolbox".
