Honestly, cleaning the kennel floor is so fun and satisfying! In addition to our usual disinfecting protocol, we are doing every inch with Wyishiwash!

Now I just need this motivation to clean the inside of my house 😂😂.

These babies helped make a sad weekend a little brighter.

I can’t believe it is 2024. We have big plans, and cannot wait to meet all the puppers this year!

Everyone here is a repeat client, except for one family! It is amazing how my fur family has expanded so much in such a short amount of time. I love each and every one of them like my own. 🐾

Travelin Tails got 6 pups all cleaned up today, too! They rock!

I had to say goodbye to one of my very own today. We were just a few weeks away from his 10th birthday.

Those that got to meet Jake knows how much I loved this boy.

Lap of Love was superb, and kept us all comfortable in our home.

Say a prayer for my momma heart, and so happy that I have a kennel full of puppies to cuddle.

These puppies requested to bring the New Year in celebrating, too! Stocked up on their cookies. (Unfortunately, didn’t make it to TSC for our favorite chicken jerky 😭)

I love seeing their favorites! I try to keep a variety on hand to work around allergies, sensitive stomachs, etc.

Some of our weekend photos! Thursday walks resulted in my back pulling a muscle, so we just sunbathed yesterday!

Walks again today as we dodged the rain. 🐾

The next couple of days will be slower in some aspects as we gear up for the holidays, and getting ample time with our family. (Primarily my 1 year old precious baby girl) BUT we do have TWO birthday girls in the kennel , so we will be celebrating that 🎂 🎉

We had a couple more precious guests check in this afternoon. Great group of fur kids for Christmas. 🎄

Getting everybody settled in for the night will always be one of my favorite times of the day.

Fun weekend photo dump!!!

The weekends are getting crazier with the holiday hustle and bustle of both the kennel and our own family events, but that doesn’t slow these sweet pups down any.

Some of these precious, precious pups were very nervous when Mom/Dad dropped them off. My goal is to ensure they know I’m a safe place, their kennel is a safe place, and our potty area is also a safe place.

Love watching them transition, and get comfortable with me and their accommodations during their stay. Eventually, we even have TONS of fun!

When they come back a second or third time - it’s just that much easier for them to understand I’m just temporary mom while their family is away.

Such a fun puppy day!!! The sun has been our friend, and we have been able to get so much fresh air!

We were even able to open up the windows inside the kennel.

This afternoon and evening was a blast with these precious babies! We finally got (most) of the mud cleaned up, and had 9 sweet tenants head back home today.

I call this weekend the “just trying to survive” weekend with the storms, cold, mud, and power outage. 😂 Goal for 2024 will definitely be a full back up generator!

AMAZING group of puppies to spend the holiday weekend with. 🐾

Kennel Rest Time

After everybody goes for their morning play time, and the majority of hand walks or extended outdoor activities are done… It is time for “quiet time”. Generally, it takes the pups a day or two to get adjusted to the schedule, but everybody does really well and understands when it is time for some R&R . 🐾 I have a few in this video that are trying to prove me wrong, but there will always be some that greet me at their doors when they hear me. (This was around 1:30) 😁

We have a slower day in preparation of the wild week ahead! Today has consisted of a ton of outside play time, inside DEEP cleaning with Dawn & Rescue Disinfectant. It’s now time for some movie watching while I catch up on computer stuff. 🐾💕

I wanted to put an “agenda” related post! Every morning, pups get let out between 5:30-6:30. Breakfast around 8. We let them settle/digest for the next hour. 9-10 is when kennel cleanings and extended outdoor play times start. As you see here, we have 2 empty kennels that we have begun sanitizing. We take the pups outside, sanitize/clean, put cold and fresh water in bowls, and then go outside to play and/or go for walks while kennels finish drying! *I have stopped doing hand walks on Sunday just to get some family time added in. Pups still go out very often throughout the day!!* We like to disinfect daily to keep everyone as safe as they can be during their stay! This also revolves around tours and drop offs — as we like to ensure there’s no “extra activity” during meal time. They are pretty chill pups when it’s just me in the kennel. Okay, enough of a post — time to go and play with these pups.
