Baloo is back in action! After breaking his pastern this Spring (and making his way through surgery and stall rest), his most recent X-rays showed the fracture was healed and OSU gave him the go ahead to begin tack walks and small paddock turnout. As you can see, in spite of being in a stall for months, he’s still his same old laid back ‘Beluga’ self (also, his belly is making him a little extra whale-like right now). Nicole has done an amazing job keeping Baloo happy through this ordeal. We think they’re both happy to be getting back to work!
True had a great time helping Joy learn to canter around the whole arena this weekend. Who remembers the first time they cantered? I think that’s the feeling that gets most of us hooked on spending as much time as possible with these amazing creatures!
Joker and Oreo decided they might be best friends!
Oreo is now Bella the Beagle’s personal trainer 😂
We have a new friend at Fallowfield! Not sure if he’s a temporary or permanent resident, but he sure is cute!
Today we lost one of our non-equine friends, our pot bellied pig, Mr. Watson. Since his life consisted mostly of sleeping for 23 hours a day and eating/drinking (the ultimate life, some might say), most people at Fallowfield didn’t even know he existed, lol. When he was awake and not eating, Watson loved getting belly rubs and chin scratches and liked to play in his pool or hang out in his insulated Pig-Gloo. He lived a full life and we couldn’t have asked for easier pig to have around the farm. ❤️
Larry joined us today for our exercise video! Enjoy!!
A special message for Lauren and her mom. We miss you guys too. Heidi can’t wait for you to come ride her soon!
We thought we’d share some fun exercises that everyone can do while their stuck at home and not riding. PSA: Don’t touch your face like Sue!
