That’s a wrap on our 1st Annual Thanksgiving Meals and Toys Donation for Berkeley Animal Center!

Thanks to the incredible support of this community, we were able to deliver turkeys, green beans, carrots, pumpkin, treats, cleaning supplies, and toys to brighten the Thanksgiving holiday for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Our goal is to make this effort bigger and better each year, not only for the animals but also for the amazing staff and volunteers at BAC.

I’m so grateful for everyone’s contributions—this wouldn’t have been possible without you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

🎅🎄 We are less than 48 hours away from our biggest event of 2024!! 🎄🎅

The 6th Annual Goose Creek Holiday Festival is coming up THIS SATURDAY on 11/23/24! Featuring 100+ vendors scheduled to attend this year, this is our biggest event EVER!

The Holiday Festival will feature our normal GCFAM weekly Market Vendors joined by many other local artisans, crafters and small businesses. Santa will be onsite from 10a-12p and we will have live music performed by local legend Shane Clark! Join us to shop local for your holiday gifts! 🎄🎅🎁🎀

Thanksgiving Meal Donations for Berkeley Animal Center Update! 🦃🐾

I’m so thankful for this amazing community! Thanks to your generosity, we’ve come together to make this upcoming Thanksgiving extra special for the animals at Berkeley Animal Center with a special Thanksgiving meal! We’ve got turkeys, green beans, sweet potatoes and pumpkin.

We even had a little bit of leftover funds, so I used it to purchase some Thanksgiving-themed toys as an additional treat for the animals! 🎉

I’d LOVE to make sure every animal gets both a Thanksgiving meal and a toy! If you wanted to help with food donations but missed out, here’s one last chance to be part of this heartwarming project! 🧡

Adoptions are FREE this weekend and we really want to find Bernadette a loving home as soon as possible!🐾🤞🏼

Meet Bernadette, a gentle two-year-old girl at Berkeley Animal Center who’s been through a lot. She’s shy at first and seems to have recently had puppies. Life has really brought her down, and being at the shelter has her feeling quite low. Bernadette is so ready for a home where she can finally relax and feel loved.

Bernadette enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. She’s very mellow and would rather be by your side than play or run around. Right now, other dogs seem to stress her out, so she’d do best in a dog-free home.

If you’d like to meet this sweet girl, please stop by Berkeley Animal Center at 131 Central Berkeley Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461. We’re having a special adoption event on Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, where all dogs over six months old, including Bernadette, can be adopted for FREE!

Thanksgiving Meal Donations for Berkeley Animal Center! 🦃
We’re collecting donations to provide Thanksgiving meals for the animals at Berkeley Animal Center. These pups are spending the holidays waiting for their forever homes, and we want to brighten their days with a special meal made with love. 🐾💛 With 100-300 dogs in their care at any given time, we’re aiming to gather enough food for 300 plates.

Here’s what we need:

• 4-5 medium turkeys
• 45 cans of no-salt green beans
• 40 cans of pumpkin puree
• 45 bags of frozen sweet potatoes
• 300 to-go containers for packaging

We’ll be cooking, packaging, and delivering these meals just before Thanksgiving to ensure these sweet animals experience a bit of holiday joy.

Our fundraising goal for these items is $360, which breaks down to just $1.20 per plate!

Berkeley Animal Center Dog of the Week ❤️

🐶 Meet Scooter! 🐶

Scooter is such a love bug! He is kid friendly, dog friendly and very well behaved. Scooter recently had the opportunity to have a few nights out of the shelter, and his foster gave him an A+ report card! Here’s what she shared:

“No accidents in the house, and even with all the little kid toys scattered around, he sticks to his dog toys and stuffies. He’s happiest when he has a cozy spot to curl up on, like a couch, but he’ll gladly settle for a comfy dog bed too. Scooter gets along great with other dogs and is a dream on the leash. We even passed a feisty little dog on our walk, and he stayed calm and was easily redirected. While he doesn’t love his crate, he does fine in it. I believe he could potentially be a full time, free roaming pup in a home because I’ve left him outside his kennel overnight with no issues. He’s perfect for a family, couple, or someone looking for a loyal best friend at home and an adventure buddy out and about—he loves going places!”
