Thanksgiving Meal Donations for Berkeley Animal Center! 🦃
We’re collecting donations to provide Thanksgiving meals for the animals at Berkeley Animal Center. These pups are spending the holidays waiting for their forever homes, and we want to brighten their days with a special meal made with love. 🐾💛 With 100-300 dogs in their care at any given time, we’re aiming to gather enough food for 300 plates.

Here’s what we need:

• 4-5 medium turkeys
• 45 cans of no-salt green beans
• 40 cans of pumpkin puree
• 45 bags of frozen sweet potatoes
• 300 to-go containers for packaging

We’ll be cooking, packaging, and delivering these meals just before Thanksgiving to ensure these sweet animals experience a bit of holiday joy.

Our fundraising goal for these items is $360, which breaks down to just $1.20 per plate!

Berkeley Animal Center Dog of the Week ❤️

🐶 Meet Scooter! 🐶

Scooter is such a love bug! He is kid friendly, dog friendly and very well behaved. Scooter recently had the opportunity to have a few nights out of the shelter, and his foster gave him an A+ report card! Here’s what she shared:

“No accidents in the house, and even with all the little kid toys scattered around, he sticks to his dog toys and stuffies. He’s happiest when he has a cozy spot to curl up on, like a couch, but he’ll gladly settle for a comfy dog bed too. Scooter gets along great with other dogs and is a dream on the leash. We even passed a feisty little dog on our walk, and he stayed calm and was easily redirected. While he doesn’t love his crate, he does fine in it. I believe he could potentially be a full time, free roaming pup in a home because I’ve left him outside his kennel overnight with no issues. He’s perfect for a family, couple, or someone looking for a loyal best friend at home and an adventure buddy out and about—he loves going places!”

Edna may be almost 12 years old, but she has the puppy dog eyes down pat. Edna's first weeks at the sanctuary were rough: A member of the public had found her after being hit by a car. But she made a FULL recovery, and she's been loving life here at Hallie Hill!

Help us support relief efforts in WNC. From October 1st - October 15th, we will be donating 10% of each service to a few incredible organizations: Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, Operation Airdrop, which is delivering essential supplies, hot meals, and support to communities affected by the storm, and Baptists on Mission, who have set up feeding units at First Baptist Boone and Biltmore Baptist in Arden. They are also establishing recovery sites in Boone, Spruce Pine, Hendersonville, and Marion.

Join us in making a difference by donating or dropping off supplies at Daniel Island Dentistry or Daniel Island Animal Hospital. Together, we can have a meaningful impact for those in need!

🚨 URGENT: Asheville Humane Society needs our help! 🚨

The catastrophic damage from Hurricane Helene has overwhelmed the Asheville Humane Society, and countless animals are in desperate need of safety. We’re partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation to rescue as many pets as possible, but we can’t do it without your help!

We need emergency fosters to help us take in these animals! If you’ve never fostered before, that’s okay! Fostering is completely free—Forsyth Humane Society will provide you with all of the supplies you might need to help care for one of these animals. Every foster home we can secure is another life we can save! 🐾❤️
