🐾🐱🐶 **Why Your Pet Needs a Cone After Their Vet Visit!** 🐶🐱🐾

At Hampton Park Veterinary Hospital, we understand that your furry friend’s well-being is your top priority. After any procedure or surgery, it’s super important to keep that cone on your pet, even if they’re not thrilled about it. 🐈‍⬛🐕💔

Why? Because it helps prevent them from licking or biting at the incision, reducing the risk of infections and ensuring a speedy recovery. ⏳🩹

While it may seem like a minor inconvenience, it’s one of the best ways to protect your pet and make sure they heal properly. Your furbaby will thank you later when they’re back to their happy, healthy self! 😁❤️

📅 If you’re unsure about your pet’s aftercare, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Hampton Park Veterinary Hospital. 📞843-874-0400📞
We’re here to guide you every step of the way!

🐾 **Attention Cat Lovers!** 🐾

Did you know that obesity in cats can lead to serious health issues, including:

- **Diabetes:** Excess weight can lead to insulin resistance, putting your cat at risk. 🩺
- **Arthritis:** Extra pounds can put stress on joints, leading to pain and mobility issues. 🐾
- **Heart Disease:** Obesity can strain your cat’s heart, increasing the risk of cardiovascular problems. ❤️
- **Liver Disease:** Fatty liver syndrome can occur when a cat suddenly loses weight, often linked to obesity. 🐱
- **Reduced Lifespan:** Obese cats can have a significantly shorter life expectancy. ⏳

One simple solution? **Slow feeders!** 🥣✨ These bowls and puzzles encourage your cat to eat at a slower pace, which can help control their portion sizes and prevent overeating.

🐈‍⬛ **Benefits of Slow Feeders:**
- Reduces the risk of obesity 🏋️‍♀️
- Promotes better digestion 🌱
- Provides mental stimulation 🧠
- Helps with portion control, leading to healthier eating habits 🍽️

Let’s work together to ensure our cats live their best, healthiest lives! 🥰 Share this post and spread the word!

HAMPTON PARK VETERINARY HOSPITAL'S
Pet(s) of the Week!! Meet Verna and Jessica 🥰
Here are some fun facts about these spicy girls!

Verna was named after an aunt who was petite and intense, somewhere out there is a portrait of Verna as a super villain!
Verna's favorite toy is a nasty deer (a Christmas reindeer who is nasty because she’s the same size as Verna and gets dragged all over the floor). She gives the best welcome home greetings to her people! If Verna spoke hooman, she would likely be a bit swear-y, as she yelled obscenities at people who dared to walk by her house.

Jessica came to her hoomans already named. Speaking of hoomans, Jessica actually knows how to operate the controls on an electric blanket! When Jess isn't snoozing comfortably toasted, she gets her steps in by chasing the kitties!
If Jessica could speak hooman, she would tell you the secret to attaining enlightenment while eating your pizza crust.

Please join us in celebrating these fantastically beautiful senior ladies!

‼️⚠️SEARCHING FOR A FUR~EVER HOME⚠️‼️

Meet Barney! Due to unforeseen circumstances, Barney’s owner will be moving back to England and is unable to take him with her. Barney is a miniature poodle/sh*t tzu mix and became part of her family as a puppy in 2011. At 12.5 years old, he hasn’t slowed down too much at all, still loving to run around and play, especially with other dogs. He is well trained and very low maintenance but would do best in a home that is calm (ie. child free).

If you have room for Barney in your home and are interested in bringing him home to be part of your loving family, please contact us immediately for more information!
