✨ Meet Allie ✨
Allie is a new arrival in our care and she is truly one of those easy-to-love kind of dogs. At one year old and 32 lbs, she’s the perfect size and has the sweetest, calm demeanor.😇

She’s a fast learner, a great listener, and already picking up her commands. Allie is incredibly gentle, especially when taking treats — she takes them so softly and politely. She’s calm in the home, not a chewer, and very well-mannered.

Allie loves affection and attention and is fantastic with kids, including the infant in her foster home. She’s respectful, patient, and just wants to be near her people. Milk-Bones are her motivation of choice, but love and praise come in a close second. 🦴

Her foster family calls her “Tippy” because she tiptoes lightly around the house and we’re pretty sure she’s ready to tiptoe her way right into her forever home… and straight into your heart 💕🐾

🎉 New Year, New Pup! 🎉

These adorable 8-week-old puppies are officially ready to find their forever homes! Around 8 lbs now, they were surrendered to the shelter after finishing nursing with their mom (who was kept by the owner).

Our adoption fee includes all core vaccines, spay/neuter, and a microchip. All they’re missing is you.

Start 2026 with puppy kisses and tail wags! 🐾💙 Puppies will be able to have meet and greets and to go home starting January 9th.

🎉LETS MAKE 2026 MISSY’S YEAR 🎉

As we step into a new year, a season of fresh starts and second chances, Missy is still waiting for hers.

Back in May, Missy landed on the “last plea” list at Lexington County Animal Shelter. One photo stopped us in our tracks. A soft smile. Tired eyes. A spirit that refused to give up. We knew she deserved more than an ending, she deserved a new beginning.

Missy has lived many chapters already. She’s been a mama. She’s been someone’s beloved pet. She’s known love, and she’s known loss. She carries scars from her past, but her heart remains wide open.

Before rescue, Missy was abandoned in an apartment and left behind. From there, she found herself on a cold kennel floor, waiting for someone to notice her. Since coming into foster care, she’s overcome a false pregnancy, post-spay complications, and heartworm treatment. All with grace, resilience, and that same gentle smile. 💔

And here’s the part that breaks our hearts the most:

Missy has been with us since MAY.

She has had just one adoption application and it fell through.

That makes her our longest foster resident.

Week after week, Missy shows up to adoption events with her tail wagging, hopeful as ever. She watches families stop for puppies and flashy faces while she waits patiently, never understanding why she’s still being passed by.

Missy was a puppy once too. She was small. She was wanted. Now, as an adult dog, she’s overlooked, but she is everything people say they want: LOVING, STEADY, GRATEFUL, and endlessly KIND. 💛

As we turn the calendar to a new year, we’re asking the universe for one thing for Missy: a home.

She is fully sponsored. She is ready. All she needs is someone willing to start their next chapter with her.

LET 2026 BE OREO’S YEAR 🙏
Oreo is the kind of puppy who quietly waits while everyone else gets chosen.

6 months old. Sweet. Gentle. Perfectly soft.

And somehow… still no applications. 💔

Before Oreo ever got the chance to be loved, she was scheduled for euthanasia, not because of who she was, but because of a broken leg. Her life was almost taken over something that was completely fixable. Journey Home Rescue Alliance stepped in and made sure that didn’t happen. We said yes to Oreo, fixed her leg, and gave her the chance she deserved.

She may always have a slight limp, but it doesn’t slow her down or hold her back. Oreo runs, plays, cuddles, and loves with her whole heart, just like any puppy should.

Oreo is incredibly affectionate and just wants to be close to her people. She loves couch time, snuggles, stuffies, and chew toys, and she never says no to a treat. She knows “sit,” rides great in the car, does well with other dogs, and is good with kids. She’s eager to learn and wants nothing more than to please.

She does have some crate anxiety, but she’s wonderful loose in the house and not destructive. She’s still working on training and manners, normal puppy stuff, but what she already has is something special: resilience, gratitude, and endless love. 💕

Oreo has been waiting longer than she ever should have. She already survived being overlooked once. Let's not let her be overlooked again.

Babe is a joyful, affectionate 10-12 week old puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s playful, curious, and loves being part of the action, whether that means greeting new people, making doggy friends, or exploring everything around her.

She enjoys walks and is learning her leash skills, loves playing fetch, and happily entertains herself with toys. Babe is familiar with her crate and is doing well with a routine, and like any young puppy, she’s learning the ropes when it comes to potty training and household manners. 💜

Babe is a total lovebug who enjoys giving kisses and soaking up attention. She would thrive in a home where she can get regular playtime and continue building confidence through positive experiences. A yard would be a bonus, but most of all she’s looking for a family ready to enjoy puppyhood and help her grow.

She’d be happy with another dog to play with or as a cherished solo pup. Babe is sweet, smart, and full of potential, and she’s ready to become someone’s very best friend. 🐾

Alex is 9-10 weeks old. We believe he will remain small. He’s been in foster for weeks. He’s ready!

🎄ALL ALEX WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS🎄

Meet Alex, a 9-week-old, teeny tiny pup who arrived last week weighing just 2 lbs. He’s small enough to tuck into your sweater and sweet enough to melt your heart.

All of his siblings have found their homes, but Alex is still waiting, quietly, patiently, hoping someone will pick him up and never put him down. Because honestly? That’s his dream. He is the quietest of the bunch and would happily be held all day long.

We have no idea what his breed mix is, but we do know this: he’s gentle, calm, and pure comfort in puppy form.

💙The Last One Left: Where is Bogey's Family💙
Bogey is a 9-week-old brindle beauty who is as soft as velvet, sweet, and cuddly as they come. This Australian Shepherd / Hound mix has that perfect combo of playful puppy energy and snuggly nap-time vibes.💤

His mom, sister, and brother have all been adopted, and somehow Bogey is still waiting. We truly can't understand how this brindle babe hasn't been scooped up yet.

Bogey loves other dogs, is great with kids, and is exactly what you hope for in a puppy: playful, cute, curious, and eager to learn. He is still working on his house manners (because he's a baby), but he's smart, food-motivated, and ready to thrive in a home that will guide him as he grows.

Bogey deserves what his siblings and mama already have, a family to call his own, especially with Christmas right around the corner 🎄

He doesn't understand why he is overlooked, he only knows he's still waiting.

Cozy is about 1 year old and 17 lbs of holiday magic. She’ll happily play by herself like a little cat, batting a ball around the room… Then zoom, zoom, CRASH right into cuddle mode. 🎾⚡💤

She loves other dogs, adores all people, and has a curious, joyful spirit that makes every day feel brighter. Cozy is a great car rider for winter adventures and settles nicely in her kennel when it’s time to wind down by the fire.
