Because our furry friends don’t love fireworks as much as we do…Ma’Cherie wants everyone to stay safe!

🐾 1. Keep Pets Indoors
Even if your pet is usually fine outside, fireworks can cause panic. Keep them safe inside with doors and windows securely closed.

🔒 2. Secure the Space
Make sure your pet can’t bolt through an open door or window. Create a quiet, comfortable area where they feel safe—think calming music, white noise, or a crate with a favorite blanket.

📸 3. Double-Check ID Tags & Microchips
Lost pet reports spike every year on July 4th. Make sure your pet’s ID tag is current and their microchip info is up to date before the festivities begin.

🍔 4. No Party Snacks for Pets
BBQ foods, alcohol, chocolate, grapes, onions, and more can be toxic to pets. Keep human food out of paw’s reach.

🔥 5. Skip the Fireworks & Sparklers
Never bring pets to fireworks shows. Even sparklers can cause burns or fear. Light displays are for humans only!

🩺 6. Know the Signs of Stress
Panting, pacing, whining, hiding, or shaking? Your pet is anxious. Stay calm, be present, and offer reassurance without reinforcing fear.

💊 7. Talk to Your Vet (If Needed)
Some pets need extra help getting through the night. If your pet has severe anxiety, ask your vet about calming aids or medications in advance.

❤️ 8. Be There
Your presence is the most comforting thing. Stay close if your pet is scared—they’ll feel safer with you near.

We can’t believe it either—no applications yet for Rosie! 🥺

Meet Rosie, a 3-year-old chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) with 20 pounds of pure love and snuggle magic. 💕 Rescued from a hoarding situation, Rosie is learning that life can be soft, safe, and sweet—and she’s blossoming more every day in her foster home.

She’s:

At just 3 months old, Pip is the perfect blend of snuggly sweetheart and playful pup. With his soft coat, sweet eyes, and adorable little wiggle butt, he’s ready to steal your heart🖤

Pip is gentle, affectionate, and loves being by his human’s side. He’s excelling with potty training, is crate trained, and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and cats. He’s also a quick learner, already picking up basic commands and eager to please. A true little smarty with a heart of gold!

💔 They’re Suffering—We Can’t Turn Away 💔

The heartbreaking truth is finally out: the Dillon County Animal Shelter in rural South Carolina is in crisis. A recent investigation revealed unimaginable neglect—puppies found dead in cages while their living siblings curled up beside them, confused and grieving. Dogs crammed three and four to a kennel, starving, covered in waste, and fighting just to survive. Dogs outside in enclosures with no shade from the beating hot sun with no water. Dogs actually sunburned from the lack of protection from the sun forces to endure the endless heat of a SC summer.

These animals are not just statistics. They are lives. They are scared, suffering souls who have known only pain, confusion, and loneliness. And they desperately need our help.

As if that weren’t enough, 18 cats and kittens were just rescued from a devastating hoarding situation. Two of the females are pregnant, and nine more cats still need to be saved. At least two are pregnant in the group remaining. The shelter already had 24 cats, and 25 more are scheduled to be surrendered. That is more than any rural, underfunded shelter can bear.

The staff and volunteers are doing all they can—but they cannot do it alone. This shelter survives solely on donations from people like you. And right now, they are stretched beyond breaking.

How You Can Help:
🌟 Donate supplies – bleach, cleaning wipes, kitten milk replacer, canned and dry food, gloves, litter, blankets, carriers—anything helps.
🐾They can also use the pet food flats if you have any.

🌟 Local? Donations can be picked up—just reach out. I can pick up in Mt Pleasant or Daniel Island. If you are in other areas, we can arrange a meeting place.

Meet Kip! He has a very spunky and sweet personality. He loves to play with other dogs and gets the zoomies often. He is a happy and content puppy. Despite his playful demeanor, he is extremely gentle with everyone he interacts with. He loves to be close by and when he is tired from play enjoys a good snuggle. When he is crated he is very patient in waiting for his time to be let out in the morning. Kip would make a great companion for anyone and everyone. He will welcome you with constant tail wags and unconditional love.

Kip is neutered, has a microchip, has had his rabies, bordetella and DHPP vaccines, is on a monthly preventative and has been dewormed. He has been in foster and is ready to transition easily to a new home!!!

Journey Home Rescue Alliance saved momma Pepper and her 8 babies 5 weeks ago. In a rural shelter they needed out! They have been keeping them quiet as they thrived in foster!

✨FOSTERS NEEDED – Arriving Friday! ✨

Meet Dolly & Minnie – two 22-week-old shepherd mix sisters looking for soft landings 💛

These sweet girls were found living alone in an abandoned home until a kind stranger stepped in. Now they’re headed to us—but we need foster homes lined up by Friday!

✨ Dolly is the bigger sis—confident and watchful.
✨ Minnie is the petite one—playful, cuddly, and full of heart.
Both are:
• Friendly and affectionate
• Great with other pups
• Smart and eager to learn
• Likely to grow into medium-sized dogs

They don’t have to be fostered together—we just need two safe places for them to start fresh.

We cover all supplies and medical care. You provide the love (and maybe a few snacks 🐾).

🐾 Welcome Pip & Squeak! 🐾

These two 3-month-old hound/retriever mixes arrived yesterday and are already stealing hearts left and right!

🐶 Pip (black and white) is a soft, shiny-coated sweetheart who’s all about the belly rubs and outdoor fun. He zips around the yard, hops into your arms for hugs, and hands out kisses like candy. His fur is unbelievably silky and his goofy charm is impossible to resist.

🐶 Squeak (tan and white) is just as snuggly and sweet as her name suggests — a total Velcro pup who wants nothing more than to be by your side. She’s incredibly affectionate, responds when you call or whistle, and is already picking up on commands. She’s getting along great with her foster brother Max (even if he’s playing a little hard to get 😆).

These two are settling in beautifully and are looking for their forever homes!

💕 Meet Delilah 💕

Delilah is a 2-year-old, 24 lb beagle with the sweetest soul and the gentlest eyes. Formerly a hunting dog, she was found running loose in the woods—pregnant and scared. She raised her two babies with love, and now that they’ve been adopted, it’s her turn to find the forever home she’s always deserved.

Delilah is still learning what it means to be a loved family dog. She’s shy, but she’s blossoming slowly in her foster home. She loves being indoors where it’s safe and quiet, and she’s happiest lounging around, soaking in the peace she never had before.

She gets along well with other dogs, but she’s not a fan of cats. She’s still unsure about walks, so a home with a fenced yard would be best while she builds confidence on a leash.

If you’re patient, kind, and have a heart for helping a shy dog learn how good life can be, Delilah is ready to meet you. 🐾
