🐾 Bruce Needs a Hero—Could It Be You? 🐾

Bruce is still waiting for his forever home, and we won’t stop until we find the special person who sees the incredible dog he truly is.

At just 1.5 years old, Bruce has already endured a rough start in life. His previous owner had lost everything in a house fire: his home, his wife, and his sense of stability. In an attempt to ease the loneliness, someone gave him Bruce as a gift.

Unfortunately, there was no room for Bruce in the small camper where the man now lived, so Bruce spent much of his early life tied to a short chain under a tree, with irregular food, water, and shelter.

Despite this, Bruce is remarkably happy, loving, and well-adjusted. He’s been given a fresh start in foster care, and after completing a two-week obedience program, he is now wonderfully trained and eager to please. His favorite thing in the whole world is to snuggle on the couch with his foster family.

Bruce loves the dogs in his foster home… once he gets to know them. But meeting new dogs is his biggest struggle. It’s a slow, careful process that requires patience, and unfortunately, that has scared off potential adopters. But here’s the thing: once Bruce is properly introduced to another dog, he is perfect with them. He plays for hours, is incredibly submissive, and just wants to be part of the pack.

So, we’re looking for a VERY special adopter:
🐶 Someone willing to take the time to introduce Bruce properly to their dog (trust us, he’s worth it!)
🏡 Or a loving home where Bruce can be the only dog (he’s totally fine with cats! 🐱)
Bruce has been through so much, but his spirit remains unbreakable. He’s ready to be someone’s best friend, adventure buddy, and loyal companion— he just needs the right person to give him a chance.

Meet Brandi with an “i”!

Brandi came to us on Wednesday from the shelter. This is what her foster has to say about this amazing girl!

“Brandi is doing so well! She’s fully house-trained and, while she still needs a little encouragement to go into her crate, tossing in a treat works like a charm. She’s incredibly calm and docile, showing submissive behavior toward our hound. This is only her third day with us, and she’s already learned to sit on command for a treat and confidently uses the handicapped ramp to access the house.

She loves toys and attention, but when she’s not actively engaged, she lays quietly on the floor. She never jumps up on people either. It’s hard to believe she was overlooked at the shelter since July!”

Brandi is around 3 years old and 58 lbs.

Meet Wilma 💕💕
A PERFECT FAMILY DOG!
8-months-old and 35lbs! A GREAT size for any lifestyle and human! She was one of 6 dumped in a rural part of our state but is now in foster and thriving!!

Wilma loves playing with her foster brother and going on walks. She has a playful, affection personality. She is still learning the ropes of living in a home and would benefit from another dog to continue to build her confidence.

Wilma is fully vetted and ready to make any family so happy. 😁

Although she's relaxed inside, she enjoys roughhousing and playing with her furry foster sibling. Brandy is still mastering leash manners and crate training, but she's doing great. She loves to snuggle with her people and will make a great companion.

He gets along great with other dogs and is sharing his foster home with young kids as well. Kirby is great with children because of his calm sweet demeanor. He enjoys romp in the yard and is a gentleman in the house. Kirby is mostly potty trained and working on crate training.

Bear was found as a stray covered in heavy, terrible mats. He found himself in an overcrowded rural shelter where no one came back to claim him.

Bear is a total sweetheart. He has a calm easygoing demeanor. He is gentle and as sweet as they come. He’s enjoying lots of snuggles, pets and naps in his warm foster home. He doesn’t ever want to be on the streets again.

🐶 Willie 🐶

Willie is a 1.5 year old treeing walker c**n hound mix looking for his forever home!

Willie likes to maintain an active lifestyle. He enjoys playing with other dogs and loves to be outdoors. He enjoys sunbathing and doesnt seem fazed by the cooler temperatures. He is laid back in demeanor, but needs to keep physically active. He is crate and house trained.

Reintroducing Merle 💓

Merle is a big snuggle bug who adores everyone she meets. She loves running around the yard, chewing on her favorite treats, and curling up on the couch like the lap dog she believes she is.

• Fully house- and dog-door trained
• Crate trained
• Knows how to sit for treats
• A grazer when it comes to mealtime
• Quiet and rides well in the car

Merle is being fostered with three other dogs and a cat. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs in the yard and is friendly with the cat. However, she would do best with a dog-savvy cat who can handle her enthusiasm.

At around 53 pounds, she is great with older children, making the perfect companion for both active play and quiet cuddles.

Brooklyn is a sweet, playful 4-month-old Weimaraner/Hound mix with legs for days and ears and eyes that could steal your heart! This cuddle bug loves being close to her people and has a heart as big as her paws. When she’s not napping in the most adorable yoga positions, she’s zooming around like a baby deer, running with boundless energy and a big smile.

🐾Personality: Playful, cuddly, and a total lovebug who thrives on attention and companionship. She loves to play with her toys, and takes nice long naps
🐾Training: Almost fully potty trained, and doing wonderful with leash training. Brooklyn is working on crate training, and eager to learn basic commands

This boy needs a Christmas miracle!! Please reach out if you can foster or adopt TODAY!! 9-years-old Fully vetted Bart/Enzo: Enzo is such an amazing dog. He is a huge snuggler 🩷 and would sleep all day with you if you want. He also has lots of energy for an older pup, and loves to play fetch and just run around. He loves spending time with his person/people but also does just fine alone! I know he would love a fenced in yard to run around in. He knows sit, is potty trained, and we’re working on leave it 😂 Very food motivated and loves a good treat. He loves to play tug of war too and anything that will squeak. Though he needs indestructible toys because he can tear up a tennis ball in a few minutes (pretty impressive). Would be best in a home with large dogs if any other animals, but he’s done well with the small dogs he’s met and is gentle with them! No cats as he has prey drive.
