This one is, ES Quick Little Lita, and she is a MONSTER of a filly sired by Quicks Goodbye Scoot and out of ES Uniklitacowgirl. Her sire’s oldest offspring are hitting the show pen now in multiple disciplines. Quicks Goodbye Scoot is a son of Quick Little Lena, who accomplished some amazing feats in his breeding career. In fact, I believe “Quick” was one of THE MOST accomplished stallions in this area, with two American Qualifiers and one finalist, and over $236,000 in progeny earnings (per Equistat, I’m sure there’s more that wasn’t reported). Not only that, “Quick” proved himself a broodmare sire also with four producing daughters from our program alone. This filly’s dam is a daughter of Unik Cowboy Gold who was also a very accomplished sire. Cowboy earned approximately $2,000 himself in the roping pen, and sired approximately $10,000 in progeny earnings that we can keep up with (only a little over $3,500 of this was reported to Equistat). Cowboy sired performers in roping, barrel racing, and even mounted shooting, as well as sired some of the best minded using horses around. This filly’s second dam, Dualin Starlight, is a daughter of Dualin Gun (sire of 88 performers, money earners in NCHA, NRHA and USTPA) by Dual Pep ($24 Million Dollar sire) out of Miss Silver Pistol (the dam of Playgun). Her third dam, Teninos Gay Lita, is a money earning daughter of Tenino San (progeny earnings over $215,000) out of Lita Gay Bar, a producing daughter of Gay Bar King (sire of AQHA champs/ROM earners, NCHA, NRHA and Race money earners). This filly will make a ranch or roping prospect for sure! She’s got plenty of size and she’s going to have shape for days!

Foaling season has officially begun at ES Quarter Horses! As we get closer to foaling season, I’d like to introduce the mares due this season. First up, is Stiletto Girl! “Stiletto” is a 2010 Jockey Club (Thoroughbred) mare by 2004 Arkansas Derby, Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, Smarty Jones (LTE over $7,000,000 with progeny earnings over $37,000,000). Smarty Jones boasts an impressive pedigree, sired by Elusive Quality (LTE over $400,000 with progeny earnings over $117,000,000) who was by Gone West ($5,000,000 sire) who was by one of the most influential Thoroughbred sires of all time, Mr. Prospector, out of Secrettame, race winning and producing daughter of Triple Crown winner, Secretariat! Smarty Jones is out of I’ll Get Along (LTE $277,000 with progeny earnings over $7,800,000) a granddaughter of In Reality ( $4,000,000 Sire) and Foolish Pleasure (Kentucky Derby winner). “Stiletto’s” dam is Kanerrerr, a producing daughter of Danzig, sire of over $26,000,000 in progeny earnings and was unbeaten and unchallenged in his 3 sprint races before he retired due to injury. Danzig was sired by another prolific Thoroughbred sire, Northern Dancer (LTE over $580,000 with progeny earnings over $6,500,000), out of Pas De Nom, race winning and producing daughter of Admirals Voyage (LTE over $455,000 with progeny earnings over $800,000). Admirals Voyage was sired by Crafty Admiral, an accomplished grandson of Triple Crown winner, War Admiral, and damsire of another Triple Crown winner, Affirmed. Kanerrerr’s dam, Wedding Reception (producer of over $1,000,000) was sired by $3,000,000 sire, Round Table. Round Table was sired by $4,000,000 sire, Princequillo (also the damsire of Secretariat). In 1991, Ellen Parker created the Reines-De-Course series. Reines-De-Course means “Queens of the Turf,” and the series was created as a guide to influential female Thoroughbred families that could be utilized to improve the breed. Lots of research has gone into each family that has received the coveted title, and “Stiletto” boasts 13 Reine-De-Course mares in the first 5 generations of her pedigree. These include: Gold Digger, Tamerett, Glowing Tribute, Natashka, My Dear Girl, Almahmoud, Steady Aim, Feola, Bellesoeur, Jolie Deja, Knights Daughter, Petitioner, and Natalma. “Stiletto” is a very special mare and one I’m incredibly blessed to have in the band! She has earned some race money herself and has produced over $12,000 so far! Her 2022 c**t by Unik Cowboy Gold lives in Wyoming and is on track to become a barrel horse! This year, “Stiletto” is carrying a foal by Quicks Goodbye Scoot, our son of Quick Little Lena. This foal will for sure make a barrel prospect! If you want something with size and speed, from a proven program and out of a proven mare, you don’t want to overlook this one!

He sure looks good under saddle ❤️ coming 3 yr old stallion, ES Kandy Korvette, but I just call him “Mr. Mercedes,” due to the amount of class he has. He’s a son of The Kandyman, earner of over $24,000 in the barrel pen before his untimely death in 2020. His oldest daughter, Ms Frenchwallawalla, entered the arena in 2021 and won just about every major event, making her sire the nation’s leading junior barrel sire in 2021. His progeny earnings are well over $250,000 now. The Kandyman was sired by Tres Seis (LTE $856,901, a 20 million dollar sire on the track, with over 2 million dollars earned in the barrel pen) out of the winningest futurity mare of all time (before the advent of Pink/Ruby Buckle etc.) Famous Silk Panties (LTE $237,484 with progeny earnings over $150,000). Famous Silk Panties is a daughter of the number 1 ALL TIME LEADING BARREL SIRE, Dash Ta Fame (LTE $290,812 with progeny earnings over 22 million dollars) out of Martinis And Bikinis (LTE $3,976 with progeny earnings over $326,000) by Bully Bullion (LTE $225,384 and 13 million dollar sire). “Mr. Mercedes” dam is Cowgirls R Gold, a money earning and producing daughter of Unik Cowboy Gold (money earner in the roping pen and sire of multiple money earning rope and barrel horses, with progeny earnings of at least $10,000 that we can track) out of Quickslittlefavorita, a producing daughter of Quick Little Lena (sire of 2 American qualifiers, with progeny earnings over $236,000). He’s got the pedigree, the size, the build, and his mind is TO DIE FOR. He is so easy to work with. Can’t wait to see what this year holds for him!

01/01/2024

Been a while since I’ve done a study on him, but Quicks Goodbye Scoot is the main herd sire here and I thought it was time to do another pedigree study on him. “Scoot,” as we call him, is a 2012 sorrel stallion by Quick Little Lena, out of Scooter Bars Bess, by Goodbye Reggie. Once his sire was gone, there was “Scoot” and one other c**t born from the same year that were being considered replacements for their sire. The other c**t’s yellow coat caught people’s eyes and earned him a new home fairly quick (pun intended), leaving “Scoot” here. We left him intact and got him started, but unfortunately he never got the opportunity to prove himself in competition, though he got good reviews from both trainers. He’s sired by Quick Little Lena, sire of 2 American qualifiers, and his progeny earnings are over $236,000 with the majority being in the barrel and roping pens. Quick Little Lena was sired by Gold Lena (progeny earnings over $331,000) who was by Leading cutting sire, Doc O Lena (LTE $21,991 with progeny earnings over $4,000,000) out of ROM producing mare, Holly Smoke, by Legendary sire, Hollywood Gold (sire of 40 ROMs and 44 producing daughters). Quick Little Lena’s dam, Shesa Haymaker was a racebred mare sired by Daggers Folly (race money earner and sire of race ROM and money earners). Daggers Folly was sired by Spanish Dagger (race ROM and money earner, and sire of 3 ROMs and race money earners) out of race winning and producing mare, Miss Eagle Folly, by Bobs Folly (LTE $35,522 and leading sire of race ROMs) out of Okay Eagle, race winning and producing daughter of Bull Eagle (LTE over $25,000). Shesa Haymaker’s bottom side is filled with more old race blood through her dam, Texas Rose Petal who was granddaughter of Diamond Bob (1949 champion running stallion and top broodmare sire) and was also double bred King Bars (sire of 92 performers, 35 race starters, 7 race ROMs, 25 show ROMs, 5 AQHA Champions, Race, NCHA and NRHA money earners, and over 1,300 AQHA points). “Scoot’s” dam, Scooter Bars Bess was a producing daughter (barrel racing money earners) of Goodbye Reggie. Goodbye Reggie was sired by Cee Bars Sam (sire of money earners) out of a daughter of Scooter Buzz (ROM earner, 90 AQHA points, and money earner, and also was a sire of producing daughters). Cee Bars Sam was a son of Goodbye Sam (LTE $5306, progeny earnings over $87,000) out of Bars Blue Cee by AAA stallion, Cee Bars (stood at the 6666s Ranch, progeny earnings over $74,000). “Scoot’s” second dam, Patsys Princess, was a granddaughter of Unikia (NCHA money earner and sire of money earners in multiple disciplines) out of a daughter of Astro Oil (sire of 1 performer) who was a grandson of Croton Oil ( a ROM and race money earner, one of Leo’s best siring sons, with 13 AQHA Champions, 10 Superior Halter, 62 Race ROMs and 25 Show ROMs). Other notables in “Scoot’s” pedigree include: Scooter S (sire of 7 ROMs, point and money earners and good broodmare sire), Giddens Bess (dam of point and money earners, and ROMs), Flit Bar (sire of Dr Nick Bar AND Firewater Flit, both top shelf barrel sires), Leo San (another good son of Leo, leading sire of arena ROMs, sired both Peppy San and Mr San Peppy), Rangers Leo (race money earner and sire of race money earners) and Breeze Bar (LTE $34,394, leading sire of race ROMs, sire of 28 ROM producing daughters). Scoot carries 8 crosses to Leo, one of the top founding sires of the breed. “Scoot” has an “old-school” pedigree but it’s all proven, and though he didn’t get the chance to prove himself, his oldest get are starting to get out there and prove themselves. His first foals were born in 2017, so there’s not a whole lot of them but they are making phenomenal riding, ranch and rope horses, and one has even made a dressage horse! He’s putting tons of brains, looks, and athleticism on his foals and he’s gotten nothing but the best mares each year to ensure he has the best chance at proving himself a sire! It is my opinion (and I’m sure I’m biased) that he is Quick Little Lena’s best son standing at stud. Take a look at “Scoot” and some of his offspring; you can’t go wrong with him!

Last one to be at the sale Saturday is Hip 22, ES Peek A Scoot, 2022 filly by Quicks Goodbye Scoot out of Reylesmartdual by Smart Royal Rey. This one is my personal favorite; she’s smart and WANTS to learn. Walk up to her and catch her, leads, loads, will stand tied as long as you want her to, spend five minutes teaching her something and she’s got it and ready to go to something new. She’s got unlimited potential! If I didn’t have so many she’d be staying. I really feel like she represents exactly the type of horse I’m trying to raise. She’s sired by Quicks Goodbye Scoot, by Quick Little Lena (sire of 2 American qualifiers with progeny earnings over $236,000), out of a producing granddaughter of Cee Bars Sam (progeny earnings over $1300) by Goodbye Sam (NCHA money earner with progeny earnings over $87,000) out of a daughter of Cee Bars (LTE over $2200 with progeny earnings over $74,000). Her dam is a daughter of Smart Royal Rey (2005 NCHA top 10 Futurity Finalist with LTE over $82,000 and progeny earnings over $549,000). Smart Royal Rey is a son of 49 Million Dollar Sire, Dual Rey, out of the great mare, Peek A Boon (LTE $81,143 with progeny earnings over $264,000). Peek A Boon is a daughter of Smart Little Lena (41 Million Dollar Sire) out of the Number 1 All-Time producing cutting mare, Royal Blue Boon. This filly’s second dam is a daughter of Playmates Dually (NCHA earnings over $17,000 with progeny earnings over $20,000), by 26 Million Dollar sire, Dual Pep, out of Shesa Playmate (LTE $95,480 with progeny earnings over $241,000) by 25 Million Dollar Sire, Freckles Pl***oy. Shesa Playmate is the grandmother of Chers Shadow, the dam of Leading cutting sire, Metallic Cat. This filly’s third dam is a daughter of Smart Peppy Doc (a full brother to Smart Little Lena, LTE $124,489 with progeny earnings over $1,400,000). This is one to watch, she’s going to make a heck of a horse for someone and she’ll be a great addition to a broodmare band later on!

Update**** he is sold

We’ve got another! A nice sorrel c**t born early Thursday morning (his mama wasn’t too keen on me getting too close so it took a bit to determine his gender). He is sired by our senior sire, Unik Cowboy Gold. He will be the only foal by “Cowboy” this year. Unik Cowboy Gold is a money earning son of Roman Mac (NCHA and NRHA money earner, with progeny earnings over $17,000) out of a producing daughter of Quick Little Lena (progeny earnings over $231,000). “Cowboy” has progeny earnings around $10,000 that we can keep track of; his offspring are good-minded, trainable individuals that are athletic and versatile enough for multiple disciplines. He’s got proven performers in the barrel pen, he’s got proven performers in the roping pen. He’s sired some real good using horses too. This c**t’s dam is GCH Smart Moria Sug, is a daughter of Smart Morias Cat, an NCHA money earning son of $90 MILLION DOLLAR SIRE and #1 AQHA SIRE OF ALL TIME, High Brow Cat. Smart Morias Cat is out of Smart Moria (NCHA earnings over $51,000, and is an NCHA Top 100 producing dam with progeny earnings of $649,522). Smart Moria is a daughter of $42 MILLION DOLLAR SIRE and #2 All Time Leading sire, Smart Little Lena, and she’s out of NCHA #44 All Time Leading dam, Moria Sugar (NCHA Open Futurity finalist and earner of $112,894, with progeny earnings of $908,164). Moria Sugar was a daughter of Son O Sugar (race and NCHA money earner, progeny earnings over $90,000), who was a full brother to Jewels Leo Bars (the sire of Freckles Pl***oy and Colonel Freckles). Moria Sugar’s dam was NCHA producing mare, Stay With Me, by Doc O Lena out of NCHA money earner, Moira Girl; making her a full sister to $9.5 MILLION DOLLAR SIRE, Shorty Lena. GCH Smart Moria Sug is a little more foundation bred on her bottom side, but it is no less impressive. On the bottom, she goes back to accomplished cutting sire, Doc Bars Boy (NCHA money earner with progeny earnings over $200,000), and crosses to $3.5 MILLION DOLLAR SIRE Docs Sug twice! Other names she goes back to include: Sugar Bars, King, Otoe, Joe Bailey and Little Jodie. This c**t has a nice blend of performance and foundation lines and he’s already got a lot of shape to him. If you’re looking for something to take to the show pen, this is your guy. He is available!

This c**t is double bred Quick Little Lena through his sire and dam, making him genetically, a son of Quick Little Lena. Quick Little Lena has progeny earnings over $231,000, including 2 qualifiers to the American in 2018. One of which, ended up advancing to the finals and placing 3rd in the Shootout. Most of his money earners were in the barrel pen, but there’s been quite a few rope horses and lots of good using horses sired by him as well. This c**t’s dam, Quick Peppy Blue, is out of Ms Peppy Mac, a really nice daughter of Roman Mac we used to have. If you’ve ever had the chance to be around some of those Roman Mac horses, I’d consider you pretty lucky. Roman Mac is one bloodline we have used in our program for years now and the Quick Little Lena/Roman Mac cross is probably one of our favorites. Roman Mac was an NCHA and NRHA money earner himself, he was the sire of money earners in multiple disciplines, with progeny earnings of AT LEAST $17,000 that we know of. Ms Peppy Mac’s dam, Ms Chickasha Peppy, was a producing daughter (progeny earnings over $12,000) of top cutting sire, Mr San Peppy. Ms Peppy Mac also traces her female line to Miss Chickasha (ROM/point earner and NCHA money earner), who was the dam of influential cutting sire, Docs Hickory. Ms Peppy Mac herself is a producer, with over $2500 in progeny earnings that we can keep up with, one of those being a full sister to Quick Peppy Blue, and the other being a 7/8s brother to her. The pedigree on this c**t is solid and packed with proven performers and producers! If you’re looking for something you can take to the roping or the barrel pen, don’t pass over this guy; He’s available!

Foaling season hasn’t started here yet but this is one I’m impatiently awaiting. This foal will be out of Cowgirls R Gold, ”Blaise.” Blaise is a money earning daughter of Senior Sire, Unik Cowboy Gold, (earner of approximately $2,000 in the roping pen, with progeny earnings around $10,000 that we can track). Unik Cowboy Gold is a son of Roman Mac (NCHA and NRHA money earner with progeny earnings over $17,000) out of a producing daughter of Quick Little Lena (progeny earnings over $231,000). Blaise’s dam, Quickslittlefavorita, was a producing daughter of Quick Little Lena, out of producing mare, Miss Easy Question, who was a founding mare of this program. Miss Easy Question was a great granddaughter of both Question Mark (champion sire and broodmare sire) and Billy Van (sire of race and arena ROM earners). Blaise is one of just two mares left that carry this female line. Miss Easy Question was a “people horse” and was very kind and willing, and passed that good mind on to her foals and they, in turn, pass that on to their own. Good minds and trainability are a big part of this program, and Blaise embodies everything that we’re trying to produce. She’s got size, good conformation, athleticism, a proven pedigree filled with money earners and producers on every line for 5 generations, and she’s got that good quiet mind that is so valuable for any discipline. She has had two amazing c**ts, one by Smart Lena Boon, and the other by The Kandyman. This year, she is in foal to Dupont First, and up and coming young sire by Duponte ( AAA/ROM with earnings of $921,237 and is a top 10 leading sire of 2 yr old money earners). Duponte was a son of American Runaway (earnings of $686,355 with progeny earnings of $1,470,027 with just one crop sired) out of Havanah Goodtime (producer of $1,851,545 and is an AQHA Dam of Distinction) by top track and barrel sire, Ivory James (progeny earnings on the track: $19,500,000. Barrels: $525,000+). American Runaway was sired by Ocean Runaway (earner of $1,642,498 on the track with progeny earnings over $1,500,000) out of AllAmericanDreamGirl, producing daughter of 25 Million Dollar sire, Strawfly Special. Havanah Goodtime’s dam is a producing daughter of 50 Million Dollar sire, Mr Jess Perry, out of 2004 Broodmare of the Year, Fitting Celebration (progeny earnings over $900,000). That’s just on the top side. Dupont First’s dam, First Fervor, is a producer of over $450,000 and is a daughter of First Down Dash (earner of $857,256 with progeny earnings over $116,000,000) out of Marcy Darling (producer of over $850,000) by Six Fortunes (progeny earnings over $2,000,000). Dupont First sports 5 AQHA Dams of Distinction within the first 5 generations of his pedigree: Havanah Goodtime (producer of $1,851,545), Dashing Phoebe (producer of $2,350,951), Runaway Wave (producer of $4,117,725), Corona Chick (dam of Corona Cartel, Valiant Hero, and Captain Courage, and producer of $3,500,000+), and Sizzling Lil (dam of Corona Chick, and producer of over $2,000,000). These are the kinds of genetics I used to dream of having in my program and to be able to tie them in with bloodlines that have been the backbone of this program is just the cherry on top. And if you take a look at the pedigrees of horses competing at the Elite this weekend, there’s lots of horses with these same lines as Blaise, including her 7/8 brother, Sum R Unik. These genetics are proven, they produce competitors, they produce winners. This foal is going to be a SERIOUS barrel and/or rope horse prospect!
