“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” --Anatole France

Growing up in rural North Carolina, I lived on a fourteen acre farm filled to the brim with all sorts of animals: dogs, cats, goats, chickens, sheep, horses, ponies, guineas, fish, ducks, geese, peacocks, even a llama! My family instilled in me a deep love and respect for the animal kingdom from an extraordinarily young age. That love has only grown as I have gotten older and moved into the city.

We are fortunate here in Charleston to live surrounded by such vibrant nature, and that is something I hope to never take for granted. I have lived in downtown Charleston since 2004 and have had my own pets since then, but I realized quickly how petcentric this city is! It’s no small mistake that the Best City in the World is populated by so many furry friends. In a place continuing to grow and thrive, I knew I could provide a service for many people who wanted their pets to have the best, most attentive care they could get. I miss living in the country, so caring for your collective menageries makes me feel right at home!
