It’s late, and I know I post about Hank a lot, but if you met him you would understand. He was listening to the frogs tonight before bed 🐸❤️.
Coming into the weekend like….
Hank just can’t decide what toy he wants to play with. He is the happiest boy and just wants to love. He is also looking for his forever home. Journeys Legacy—Dogs in need
I do not own the rights to this music.
How do we introduce dogs? And what does our day play look like?
We want introduction to happen as organically as possible. It’s best if they are here regularly, so I can gauge their temperament.
Here are two pairs of dogs that I know well and trust enough to nose boop through the fence and clearly they are unbothered and friendly. They were then let in the same fenced area together and did great.
Your fur babies are our fur babies while in our care and I am probably overly cautious for their safety. We don’t do a lot of group play, but when we do, you can trust we have tested the waters in every way possible before allowing them together. They will also never be left unattended.
Day play looks different for each dog that stays. We can do hikes, walks, art, outside time, inside time, ball play, belly rubs, small group play, TV, or all of the above. It is really whatever is their cup of tea. Also, as an experienced vet tech, I can handle medically complicated babies (glucose monitoring, insulin, catheters, special diet needs, etc.).
If your pup is one that wants to play all day and still has energy to burn, we have recommendations for some stellar local doggie daycares. But if your pup prefers to do their own thing and needs some one on one attention, I would love to spend the day with them.

Nathan deserved his own video. This baby is so excited and happy.
He is also looking for his forever home. Contact Journeys Legacy—Dogs in need if interested.
The dogs are requiring blankets and all the pets today.
It’s cold outside. Bring the babies in.
The first weekend of 2025 came and went in a hurry. Happy Monday everyone.
Guys…the little girl in me is doing cartwheels. I can’t express how blessed and honored I feel to be able to love on your babies.
Dreams do come true. You CAN carry a fur child around in your overalls at the office. You CAN play chase and ball for hours a day. You CAN get all the kisses from all the dogs.
Thank you for allowing me to love them. ❤️
Happy New Year to all, from the Red Barn.
We are beyond grateful and amazed at the friends we have made and amazing people we’ve met.
If you’ve been a part of our start up, thank you, we love you.
We are having a party today, thanks to Chill Dogs and their awesome doggy ice cream!
It’s just been a really sweet weekend, rain and all.
