I’ve received a lot of calls recently for daycare, and have probably turned you away. 😞 I’m sorry.

But….we have decided to offer a very few spots for daycare M-F. I have four spots for little dogs, and four spots for medium to big dogs. I can also accommodate seniors and special needs dogs.

Let me know if you’re interested. Tana Jo wants more playmates haha.🤣

Happy National Cat Day!

Since it’s so close to Halloween, we thought we’d share some history in black cats and the origin of the “bad omen” feline.

It originated in Europe during the Middle Ages. Black cats were associated with witches and demons and all that is dark. If a black cat crossed their path they would run to the nearest church and pay to be cleansed of the curse that was surely cast on them from the neighboring witch.
This provided revenue for the church and so was fed to continue the fear.
What REALLY ramped it up, was when the priests and towns people decided to try to exterminate the cats to get rid of evil spirits.
They were then infested with rats.
Then came the black plague.
Which in turn, fed the superstition that black cats were evil and were punishing them from the grave.
And so on and so forth.

Is it true? Hmmmm 🤔

We on the other hand love black cats, and all cats for that matter.

Happy National First Responders Day! And THANK YOU for all you do!

We always offer first responder and military discounts. We know the sacrifices made and are so thankful for each and every one of you.

In case you didn’t know, Shawn served Bradley County for 30 years as a paramedic and fireman. He retired last year as the Bradley County Fire Chief and we are so proud of our fireman at The Barn.

My Papaw Rassie and great uncle Austin were also firemen. I’ll post a good throw back picture below!

If you are a first responder, we see you, we thank you, and we love you.

It was such a nice weekend. The dogs loved the weather. Even the rain gave a good nap time for them, with their music playing.

Holidays are almost full. We won’t be taking quite as many dogs for Christmas break, so get those spots early. Call 423-599-9265 to book.

Stay on the lookout this week for a giveaway too ❤️

An 11-year-old boy in North Carolina named Jamie Parker got buried in rubble when a mudslide hit his grandparents' house during Hurricane Helene. But he's okay after his family's dog found him.

His name is Tucker. He stood where Jamie was and wouldn't budge until firefighters got there and used chainsaws to get him out.

Jamie and his sister used their allowance three years ago to save Tucker when he was about to be put down at a shelter. So it's almost like he wanted to return the favor. (Here's a photo.)

❤️Thank you all so much for the love!

We have received a lot of new customers recently off of YOUR referrals, and you have no idea how happy that makes us.

Reviews and word of mouth are the best advertising we get and y’all do not disappoint.

Thank you for letting us love on your babies ❤️.

To show our appreciation, we are offering a $20 dollar credit for EACH referral we get from you. We will also throw in a surprise for those that book because of your referral. Your support means the most.

With love,

Ashley

Please be on the look out for this sweet girl. Her family is missing her. You can contact her dad Hunter if you find her with the number on the flyer, or you can bring her to here to the daycare for a safe return.

Did you know you can get a package for just a day or two during their stay? Scout did a couple days of our Hunting Package and it was the perfect amount of adventure and chill. ⭐️

Our Hunting Package includes extra long daily walks, whether to the pond or the mountain trail, a sniffle mat before bed, water play, scented hide and seek, artwork to take home, and a personal video of their adventures.

We were unsure how Freya was going to do while boarding. Her mom and I took all the precautions and we discussed all of the possible behaviors. And she has shocked us all and been an absolute love with me.

Most dogs act completely different when they aren’t around you and are out of their space. We can communicate that throughout their stay and will do all we can to make them comfortable and happy. If it still doesn’t work out, that’s okay too, we can discuss other possible options.

A dog that can’t board doesn’t mean you have a bad dog. All dogs have different personalities, just like we do. Reactivity happens. We can work through most reactivity and are able to keep them all safe and happy. Let’s just chat and see how or if we can help.
