HAPPY NATIONAL BLACK DOG DAY! 🐾 Today we celebrate and encourage the adoption of darker-colored dogs. No matter the size, personality, behavior, or breed, the phenomenon, still continues. Best known as Black Dog Syndrome, or “BDS”, adoptees are constantly overlooked simply because of their color with 27% of dog owners believe aesthetics were more important than the dog themselves. Some shelters and rescues have been known to wave adoption fees, host special events, or devote more training time to them in efforts to help.

At TEAM ROCKYROO, we’ve always pushed the V.I.P experience for every pet and wanted to expand on that to reach as many dogs and cats as possible. We’ve created a department to focus on working with rescues and shelters in adoption aid and help the front lines to set them up for success in finding their new forever homes. With that being said, we present to you:

Meet Stella and Paisley! Stella is a giant fluff ball and such a sweet girl! On this day, she was not interested in participating for her bath AND THAT'S OKAY. Everyday isn't going to be a success and that's part of our story that we appreciate. We understand that sometimes pet's just don't want to cooperate and all we can do is try again. We'll see you next time girls! 🐶🐶

P.S Paisley was just there for moral support, but we loved every minute of it.
