WAGS Charlestown Dog Walking & Grooming Services We have an exciting announcement about the PAWsome happenings in Charlestown.

As of January 1, 2016, Britt Turgeon and Lindsay LaRocca will be taking over the Durty Harry’s 287 Main Street, Charlestown location and will be transitioning under a new name “WAGS Charlestown, Walking & Grooming Services”. Brittany is running the grooming show and Lindsay is running the walking club. Please know that we will be business as usual, providing the personalized attention to each of y

our pups that you have grown to love and depend on over the last five years. Going forward we are 100% committed to delivering the same exceptional service in addition to some new features and we’re so very excited for what is in store for 2016! This will be our new Facebok Page- WAGS Charlestown. All other social media has also been transitioned over and is live now including: Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat! Please follow us and use our fun hashtags and so we can see what all our favorite pups are up to! Our new website is www.wagscharlestown.com

Where to even begin? Long before COVOD, I hired an incredible dog walker, & with her came a new client for us. A big ol’ goofy Bernese Mountain Dog named Gordon 🧸

Stubborn in typical Berner fashion, he much preferred Katie’s company in his family yard or living his best stoop life watching city life go by. Gord made SO many friends during his time in Charlestown, hosting so many yard parties and eventually walking with allllll sorts of crews with each of his WAGS Aunties! He lovedddd his SPAW days at the shop- every 4 weeks so he could be sparkly clean 🛁

He was one of my favorite snow dogs, thriving in wintertime, begging the snow Gods to dump as much fluff as possible. As spring turned into summer, and those temps started rising Gord became a lazy boy with the exception of when he could go and hang in the water by the boat ramp. We are so lucky to have been able to spend many years, loving this floofy🧸

Unfortunately this past September he was diagnosed with lymphoma and fought the very best fight these past months. Last Thursday we spent some quality time in the snow creating artwork and at his final oncology appointment Friday, he gained his wings 🪽 Our lives are forever, changed by meeting this special boy and his incredible family, who are so supportive of the Charlestown community and his WAGS family. We love you furever, Gordon! 🐾🌈🕊️

It’s here at WAGS!! Yesterday we welcomed the newest itty-bitty, FLOOF to Charlestown, ! His amazing mom Stephanie reached out to me months ago in preparation for getting a new puppy, making sure we had room in our schedule to accommodate 🤩 We’ve been anticipating this arrival to town and yesterday was his FURst day with the WAGS Walking Club!

We worked on pottying outside, short car rides, introduced him to some of our crew, listened to noises of the shop & worked on name recognition. It’s easy to say he fit righttttttt in 😊 We are so excited to help raise him and watch him grow up!!

A little belated anniversary post 😍It’s always a tad crazy to look back at WAGS Charlestown’s journey 🐾💛🐕

We opened our doors with a rebrand on January 1, 2016 at 287 Main Street with high hopes and higher expectations of what was to come in this new era! We quickly moved onto 227 Bunker Hill and spent many happy years in a beautiful new spot. In a W I L D turn of events, ended up back at our beloved, original Main Street location last November 😊😊😊

We feel so lucky to have built a wonderful women owned, women run Charlestown company and look forward to many more years serving this community 🫶🏼We are so thankful for the familiar faces who have stuck around all these years & our amazing new clients- you are our WAGS family, and we’re so grateful for your support & kindness every day! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Here’s an adorable puppy to help with those Monday blues!!🤩 Everyone meet Harvey! This handsome 5 month old chocolate lab joined the WAGS Walking Club last week & has been hard at work! We’ve been working on his leash skills, threshold work and of course some appropriate puppy playtime at the shop 😊😊😊We’re excited to get him integrated into a pack and watch him grow up with our team! 🐾💛🎉

This adorable rescue hails from , is neighbors with Brewer & Winnie & had his FURst day with the WAGS Walking Club on Wednesday! ✅He’s settling in with new friends & a new routine 😍 We can’t wait to watch him grow up with our team 🫶🏼

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are sharing the passing of our beloved Lou Dog. Lou’s absolute favorite thing to do was go to work and we loved having him here everyday. He was the best shop dog we could’ve asked for. To know Lou was to love Lou, and we were so lucky to have 11 amazing years with him. He was truly a one in a million kind of dog and WAGS will never feel the same without him. He was the best assistant a girl could ask for, he would follow me and Katie around all day long. As long as he was close to either one of us, he was happy. He greeted all his favorites with a smile and crazy Chewbacca noises. He is taking a piece of all of our hearts with him, but we’re so thankful for all the time we had with our best boy. I’m so happy I got to share him with the Charlestown community day in and day out. I know he touched the hearts of countless clients along the way, and it’s a huge comfort knowing how loved he truly was. Louith, you will always be the OG WAGS best boy, and I will keep you in my heart forever. I’m so happy you’re running free without any pain, and I know you had so many friends waiting for you on the other side. Until we meet again my boy. Always❤️🌈.

Happy FriYay friends 🤩 We’d like to give a warm WAGS welcome to this little cutie, Luna! She’s a 9 month old Cavalier and is settling in great with her new crew 🐾

Tuesday we worked on pressure/release with longline work and then had an impromptu meet up with Auntie Ash- Piper, Ellie, Millie & Miley 🤗🤗🤗Thursday she got to walk with Lucille and Cali while meeting Auntie Ashlee- Gordon & Bella and Auntie Ash with Miss Maggie. It was a great few days for this adorable nugget! Welcome Luna 🥳💛🥰

I’ve been a groomer for 3 years, and I’m very passionate about what I do! I’ve worked with animals for 12+ years, and continue to expand my knowledge of them in every way I can! I’m so excited, and looking forward to keeping your fur babies looking and feeling their best! ***Hi! I’m Mckenna, and I was born and raised in Charlestown. You may have seen my face serving you breakfast at Charlestown tea and treats, down the field coaching youth cheerleading or maybe even have watched me grow up. It was a WILD & FUN walking week! 🎉🎉🎉 Matilda, Pepper & Revy had their very FURst swims to beat the heat, and lots of pups enjoyed cooking down at the boat ramp 🔥☀️🌡️ We walked, pawtied in the shade & did our best to stay cool & hydrated, even got caught in some downpours which felt amazing 🔟🌟 Reminder that both Walking & Grooming are closed this upcoming Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day. Our Story

WAGS Charlestown, Walking & Grooming Services opened it’s doors on January 1, 2016. Owners, Britt Turgeon and Lindsay LaRocca are long time friends who met through their love of rescue, volunteering for Last Hope K9 Rescue. They are truly “crazy dog ladies,” who love nothing more than keeping pups and their families happy and healthy. Britt runs the grooming show and Lindsay runs the walking club. Together, they hope to support the Charlestown dog community in every way possible through education, community service and fundraising!
