I forgot To take any photos today. I’m just getting home but wow on the show. Thank you everyone who helped and participated at the show today. Was awesome to have Ej Miller judging. Thank you to Ellyn Montgomery for creating our jump course. I loved the ease of the show and great costumes from Julianna O'Flaherty group!! You guys rocked the Halloween vibe. Great last show! Way to go everyone and I will post scores and everything soon. :)

Our group had a great time at the fall foliage ride in Woodstock at gmha! Lady did 45 miles over the 4 days while Skip and sassy did 30 or so each. We have the best ponies.

Pinky went on her first off property trail ride today! She was perfect and loved being with her two friends sassy and lady. A great outing with green mountain hounds.

Poor skippy got sick this evening. All his legs were blown up and swollen so had to get the vet out. We are thinking tick borne something. Got antibiotics and banamine. Then as I was finishing chores tonight he broke out in hives. This poor guy. Hopefully he feels better by morning.

I’ve been sick for two days straight. Either sleeping or doing barn chores. It was so nice to wake up ready to go today. Both rings dragged and barn cleaned up. Back to work and feeling good!

Mila loves taking her lessons on sassy. What’s even better? Being able to lesson while her grandma rides too. Mila has so much fun being able to ride with nancy and I love that we can make these moments happen. This is what a barn community is about :)

Well it took me a bit to get around to this but what a great show weekend!
Raxa did great at her 2nd show and rode pinky. While pinky was too fast and uppity she handled it great and got through her test.
Isabel did amazing at this show. Got 1st and 2nd on sassy. They really shined at this show.
Averie is slowly learning more about lady at shows. She is trying new things and learning more what works for them both.
Holly had to ride pinky as well since Skip wasn’t well and she did great with her. First test pinky was a bit stressed. The next one we let star go in with her to end on a good note.
Liza killed it with star. Got a 1st and 4th. It was like night and day between pinky and star hahaha
Star got to graze once home. Pinky clearly wasn’t tired and had more opinions once home. Oh chestnut tbs.... ugh
Way to go team!! Love all the work these kids put in and the results that follow.

Does anyone have a need for a mini/pony paddock area to board at? Our mini, bee, will be leaving the farm mid September and before I take fencing down and rearrange wanted to be sure no one needed a spot for minis or ponies. Reach out for pricing and/or more info.

Well what an awesome show day overall!!! It was the most stressful show we have ever had but I’ll touch on that later. I didn’t get back home until late so catching up now. Way to go everyone for showing up and doing your best. Thank you East hill for another well run show!
Hadley did awesome taking Skip in first.
Holly followed up with two great rides on Skip. Really is coming around from the first show.
Then we went into intro. With some slight issues with Skip raxa went into the ring for her first time ever showing and nailed it. Was very proud of her for completing her first test.
Averie went in with lady and wow. She has worked so hard that the judge was amazed by them and thought lady was so “easy” to ride. Averie that is dressage. Making your connection with your horse so great everyone thinks it’s easy. She completed her first intro c test which included cantering at the show for the first time.
Then Maddie went in and despite the possibility of being rung out due to Skip she smiled the whole time and was able to do both her tests splendidly. She really came through this year on overcoming her nerves.
By the end of the show we had firsts, seconds, thirds, and a high point champion and reserve high point. Wow, wow, wow
I’m so proud of you all.
Side note for everyone... we were told Skip was lame by judge and going to be rung out. But that he was only lame at the trot. Then he was ok. Then he wasn’t. Then he was. It was a roller coaster. Judge kept in communication and we worked through it all with having lady be the back up if at any time the judge wanted to call Skip out. These kids didn’t let it phase them and rocked.

Alright everyone. Fall foliage pleasure ride is coming up at the end of September. I have a few people interested but trying to see if anyone wants the other days if we bring more horses. Thursday, Friday, Saturday we would have Sassy and pinky available to ride. Is anyone interested in joining us? Can discuss pricing if you reach out but most of it is the GMHA fees.
