We had the most beautiful event here yesterday! Over 180 people came to eat vegan ice cream and meet our amazing residents. 🍨

Sweet Lily greeted guests as they came in from the parking area, then they were free to pick from three vegan ice cream flavors and wander the grounds. Volunteers and staff were circulating and stationed throughout to answer questions and ensure the animals were not getting stressed in any way.

It makes us all incredibly happy to welcome new friends and make new connections in our community. đź’• We are still buzzing with joy!

Our guide to colic đź“–

Animal health is a key part of running our organization. Many of our horses have very challenging backgrounds and are susceptible to gastrointestinal issues due to stress & environmental changes.

We take many preventative measures and actively keep an eye on our horses to ensure that they’re in good health. However, even with ample care colic can still occur under uncontrollable factors.

Thanks to support from our community, both locally and online, we’re able to provide medical attention to our horses who face colic.

Many of our goats suffer from CAE, so we do our best to provide them with vet care that addresses their symptoms.

Although CAE is found globally, most goats with CAE are in large industrial dairy farms within North America and Europe. Their living standards facilitate the spread of CAE, making them very susceptible to its neurological effects.

A easy way that you can help stop the spread of this virus is by swapping goat dairy products for vegan alternatives🌱 There are plenty of substitutes you can use that are just as delicious and contain even more health benefits than regular cheese!
