I wanted to thank all of my friends and family across the country for checking in on me and Tami. We got very lucky in Charlotte but an immense amount of western NC is decimated. The situation is very dire and rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing. I have been having a really hard time focusing on how to help instead of crying and shutting down. The efforts being made by the rest of the state and surrounding areas has been incredible but overwhelming when choosing how to help. My brain works best when I focus on one thing… please help me help others.

I am collecting menstruation and hygiene products (tampons, pads, depends, wipes, cups, etc). If you are local and would like to contribute please pm me so we can arrange pick up/drop off. If you have been wanting to help but are not local and have been overwhelmed as well, please consider donating money to this effort. Anything helps and I hope to drop off a significant amount of these products to the airdrop donation locations.

Who’s a good boy???

Just your typical day with K8!

This is always a hard post to make... but this may be the hardest yet. For over three and a half years we have been caring for an angel on Earth. Inga was the gentlest, sweetest, and most loving of senior pets who we have had the privilege of caring for. We met her at the ripe age of 15 and I was in love before I even met her. I would see her mama walking her in her buggy and one day I just ran up and introduced myself and the rest is history. Inga got to spend so many nights with Tami and me in our home with our babies. They would be so gentle of little Inga, or MeeMaw as we liked to call her. The one thing that could get her going was our cat. Inga really wanted that cat and could sniff her out even in her final days. We will miss you, sweetie. Our words cannot express the amount of sorrow we feel.
