🌸 Its Spring Time! 🌸 Which also means it is kitten time! Funds are desperately needed as our cost for spay and neuter has gone up recently.

For the month of April we will have a calendar fundraiser! Anyone can participate and all donations can be made online through our website at www.laceyslegacycatrescue.com. Please note the days you are paying for and for whose calendar 🥰 Whoever fills up the most calendars will win a special gift!

Each day is the amount of money given. For instance if you chose April 22nd you give $22. 🐱

Join in and raise some $$ for TNR! Please shoot us a message if you plan on filling in a calendar so we have an idea on how many to look for! Just print off this photo and get to fundraising! 💓🐈‍⬛️

Don't forget to come out this Saturday to Boneyard Harley-Davidson for our fundraiser event! We will have a 42 minute ride starting at 11am then back for food, vendors including a dog treat food trucks! Pitt Friends (aka FPCAS) will also be there with some adorable pups available for adoption! The raffle is also shaping up nicely with a brand new cat tree, Mother Earth Brewing Whiskey and Whiskey Barrel. Also a little self care basket!

Dutchess (white) and Ace (orange) are mother and son who just never quite came around to human affection. They want to be no where near me and desperately want to be outside and have a safe area where they can be free to live their lives together with someone who feeds them, gives them treats and loves them from afar. Fluffy is seriously SO sweet and loving! We are shocked that she hasn't had a single application!

After giving birth in a box, outside a wonderful families front door, she quickly learned indoor life when they took her and her four babies in. She was an amazing momma and her four babies have gone on to find families of their own but she is still waiting for that special someone to fall in love with her!

She certainly has a grumpy face at times but gosh we love her for it! 🥰

As spring arrives, remember that Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most humane and effective way to address the community cat population, preventing unwanted kittens and helping feral cats.

Here's a breakdown of why TNR is important:

What is TNR?
TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return, a process where feral cats are trapped, neutered or spayed, and then returned to their outdoor territory.

Why is TNR important?
TNR is the only humane and effective approach to managing community cat populations, ending the breeding cycle and preventing the birth of new kittens.

How does TNR work?
Trapping: Cats are humanely trapped using specialized traps.

💜💜 Courtesy Post 💜💜

A lady took these two sweeties in when a family member was no longer able to care for them after losing their home. She has been looking to find them a home since with no luck so has reached out to local rescues.

They are approx 7 year old spayed female bonded litter mates. Very affectionate and love people. Fully vetted and ready to have a new start!

Remember cats can live 20+ years so these babies are still quite young with a lot of life left and love to give 🥰

Meet Remmy 💕

If you know me personally, then you will recall a certain hound that I rescued many years ago after he was hit by a car. I named him Re*****on and he went out to live a wonderful life with a very sweet family. Now this little guy was found in almost the same exact area as my Remmy with bite wounds and was swollen with infection. He was seen at one of our vet's and quickly sedated and wounds cleaned. We are fairly certain it was another cat that caused these wounds so we are fighting the infection with medication. Remmy should be ready for adoption as soon as he heals up as he is the sweetest little guy! He was triple tested and neutered today so be on the lookout for more updates on this special guy!

💥BIG NEWS💥

We are about to start our biggest relocation for ferals we have ever attempted. Assuming 40+ cats and kittens are in a very unsafe area while multiplying each day, it seems. While we are not fans of relocation, this is simply the only choice at this area.

That being said we would LOVE to have barn homes lined up for them as we catch them so they will have somewhere to go after being fully vetted. We will also need fosters for kittens to help tame them and get them into indoor homes.

Whether you need a mouser for your barn, warehouse or garden area we will certainly have a kitty that will fit your needs. Our barn cat applications are a bit different than our normal applications so please be sure to only use this link for barn cats! Let's get these babies into a safe area they can grow in and love! 🥰

Dave and Charm really need a loving home together! Please come out to the Greenville Petco tomorrow to learn more about them!! These boys aren't event a year old yet and just want a place to call home!

Lacy is a sweet girl that did not like being at the Petco cat cages so we moved her back into foster. Her foster said she was so incredibly happy to be back and was being playful and purring. We would love to find a foster for this girl that does not have other cats as she is not super fond of other kitties. But she does get along with dogs! Could you give this girl the chance she needs?

Looking for ways to help out? 🌟 We are in need of Petco Cleaners to give love and care to our babies at the Greenville Petco! Must be 18 years or older. 🌟 Transport drivers to and from Raleigh are ALWAYS needed. Our next one is February 26th which is in 5 days and we have no one to take these babies to the vet yet!! 🌟 Fosters are welcome to join our mission in giving a better life to outdoor cats and kittens! 🌟 Donations of items or funds for vet care are constantly needed! Jingle and Jangle are brothers who have grown into handsome young kitties! They are so ready to find their new homes!

Our latest trapping in progress is a momma and four babies that are in a very dangerous spot. We are hoping to get them all soon and will update you as we go!

✨ Adoptable Pair Spotlight ✨ Slinky and Venus are looking for a home together! Venus is super loving, talkative, and playful, and is the confident boost her sister Slinky needs to feel comfortable. Slinky took around 3 months to warm up to her fosters, and takes longer to warm up to men. Now she always wants love and attention, is a purring machine, and loves belly rubs! However, we know in a new environment she will likely take some time to adjust and feel comfortable as she still runs from new people that come in the house, so we hope to find them a home together so Venus can help her feel comfortable! We are hoping to find them a loving home with people that understand that slinky may not be super cuddly at first (and that both are not a fan of being held unless on their terms). Both are comfortable around dogs and other cats, as well as older kids. They are around 8 months old. If interested in learning more about them, shoot us a message or put in an application today! They are currently being fostered in the Raleigh area but can be adopted out anywhere.
