Here are some Halloween safety tips to keep your pets safe during the spooky season:

1. Keep Candy Out of Reach
Chocolate and candy, especially those containing xylitol, are toxic to pets. Make sure all Halloween treats are stored securely and far away from curious paws. 🍫🚫

2. Use Pet-Safe Decorations
Avoid small, easily swallowed decorations or candles that could pose a fire risk. Opt for pet-friendly, flameless candles and secure cords to prevent accidents. 🎃🕯️

3. Choose Costumes Wisely
If you dress up your pet, ensure the costume is comfortable, fits well, and doesn’t restrict movement, breathing, or vision. Also, avoid small accessories that could be a choking hazard. 👻🐾

4. Create a Safe Space
The constant doorbell ringing and trick-or-treaters can cause anxiety. Create a calm, quiet space for your pet to retreat to if they get stressed. 🏠💤

5. ID Tags and Microchips
With the door opening frequently, there's a higher chance of pets escaping. Make sure your pets have updated ID tags and are microchipped in case they slip out. 🏷️🐕

6. Keep Glow Sticks Away
Glow sticks can be tempting to chew on, but the liquid inside can cause irritation or discomfort. If your pet bites into one, rinse their mouth and contact your vet. ✨🦷

7. Watch the Front Door
Pets can easily dart out when trick-or-treaters visit. Keep them secured in another room or on a leash to prevent escapes. 🚪🐶

Our carefully screened adult pet sitters have gone through our training program and have had a background check before becoming a member of our excellent staff. Your sitter will live in your neighborhood or area. You are assigned a sitter who will always take care of your “family.” You will always have peace of mind knowing the we will always be there for you and your pets.
