😍 Sweet, snuggly, adoptable Candy Cane is here to let you know what we will be closing at 3pm today, so if you’re looking for a snuggly buddy for the snow, be sure to come visit her before we close!

We will reopen tomorrow, January 11, at 1pm. In the meantime, you can view our available animals at humanecharlotte.org/adoption.

Don’t forget, our friends with will contribute up to $100 towards adoption fees for cats and dogs adopted from HSC (up to 100 adoptions) through January 12. In addition to reduced adoption fees, adopters will receive a free starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet nutrition and high-value coupons for their next bag (while supplies last).

🐾 When she arrived at HSC, Julep had recently given birth to eleven, yes...ELEVEN, little ones. Now, this amazing mama has had time to care for her babies and heal and is ready for a home of her own.

🐶 Come meet this sweet girl at the Humane Society of Charlotte Adoption Center at 1348 Parker Drive any time we’re open!

🐾 Did you know that the Humane Society of Charlotte has a Pet Pal Patch Program program?!

🐾Through the Pet Pal Patch Program, troops are welcome to visit our Animal Resource Center to learn about the mission and work of HSC. Troops will learn things like how to be safe around animals and many other ways to be a pet advocate.

🐾The PPP Program consists of a 90-minute workshop that includes a tour, interactive lesson, and a dog or cat visit. Upon registration and payment, the group leader will receive a PDF download of service activities for the group to do on their own before or after the workshop. At the end of the workshop, each scout will receive a HSC patch to show their commitment to helping animals and being a pal to all pets!

📣 Adoptable Cookie Dough is here to share some exciting news!

The Humane Society of Charlotte is excited to announce its participation in Hill’s Pet Nutrition’s "Welcome Home" adoption campaign, a nationwide effort to help shelter pets find loving homes. As a Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program partner, HSC is one of 13 shelters nationwide chosen to participate in the campaign!

To help more pets find homes this new year, now through January 12, Hill's Pet Nutrition will contribute up to $100 towards adoption fees for cats and dogs adopted from HSC (up to 100 adoptions). Meet Harper! This sweet one-year-old gal recently arrived at HSC from our friends at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center in Weaverville as a graduate of their program.

Harper is such a love bug and she will happily sit on the couch with you and get petted for as long as you (or she) would like! She loves to play with people, especially outside. Plus, not only does Harper love people, she also loves other dogs!

She may appear a little apprehensive when first meeting someone, but she warms up quickly, especially if treats and pets are involved. 🙂 She is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed and we know she will make her person so happy!

"Hudson is now Jed! Which is short for famous mountain man Jedediah Smith. He has been fitting in so well since day one. His puppy energy has really revitalized our two senior dogs and I’ve seen our pittie doing playful jumps I didn’t know his knees could even do anymore! His big sister who is usually the diva absolutely adores him and I think loves how much he looks like her.
