Due to age Zoey and Romeo will no longer be bred. As they get older the risk of ovarian and testicular cancers gets higher for unaltered pets so they have been spayed and neutered. As always their health and well being is most important. Unfortunately also due to moving around the country and living situations they were only able to have one wonderful litter. This page is now just so those that ad
opted their puppies and whoever else is interested in seeing the litter mates and parents grow and have their happy lives with their family's. Breeder Information
Hi my name is Brooke and I am the breeder of these loving labs. I am a life long breeder, meaning I am here for the life of your puppy. If you have any question during the life of your new family member and would like to ask me feel free to do so. I always enjoy getting pictures of the puppies as they grow and updates on their life and how they are doing. I have 3 years experience as a veterinary assistant, over 1 and a half years experience as a certified dog groomer, and currently going to school to be certified dog trainer. I am certified in pet CPR and pet nutrition. I am also taking extra courses pet massage, and cat training. Puppy Raising
First litter of puppies were raised in bedroom closet from birth until they went to their forever homes. My puppies are raised in the home from birth until they go to their homes so they get use to household noise and everyday activities of a family. I find many benefits from raising puppies in the home. I feel it is easier for them to adjust into their new homes when they are already use to living in a home environment. I want my puppies to spend their lives in happy loving homes where they are a member of the family. Parents:
The dam (mom) and sire (dad) are AKC registered, PennHIP certified with no signs of degenerative joint disease, Canine Good Citizens, with field and show champion bloodlines. Zoey, the mother has high interest in agility while Romeo, the father, can never get enough of fetch. Both are very loving and available to meet. Page Info
I created this page so owners of the puppies can see how their puppy's sibling are doing and growing. They can post pictures and updates of the puppies for everyone to see. This has been fun for me and the other owners to see how the siblings of the puppies are doing. Health:
The health of the puppies is very important to us the puppies will have their dewclaws removed, they will receive their first vaccinations, examinations and deworming before going to their new homes. Heartworm prevention should be given monthly. Not only does it help protect the dog from life threatening heartworms it also routinely deworms the dog for multiple other worms a dog can pick up. Routine Flea and Tick prevention is also important to keeps fleas from annoying both you and your dog. It also helps keep tick off your dog which can transmit Lyme Disease. Yearly vaccinations and examinations are very important in keeping your pet happy and healthy. It is important to make sure you are able to afford health care your new family member. Spay and neuter your puppy to help prevent unwanted pregnancy and certain cancers. Talk to your vet about what is best for your new family member. Grooming:
Grooming is important for the puppies. During the first 8 weeks of their life the grooming will be handled by the puppies' mother and breeder/groomer. They will have had a bath, nails trimmed, and been introduced to brushing within a week or less of them going to their new homes. After that, they will need regular baths, brushing and nail trims. Please note that labs do shed. You can reduce the amount of hair that ends up in the house by brushing them regularly. Having them professionally groomed is also an option. I am a professional dog groomer and would love to groom the puppy for you. Socialization:
The puppies will be exposed to numerous people of varies ages from 5 to 75 years old. They will be exposed to many common household sounds, along with the sounds of traffic and thunder storms. They will have experienced car rides, kennels, and many different floor surfaces. Training:
We will start their potty training by taking them outside often and encouraging them to go potty outside. We will also discourage them from chewing or placing their open mouths on humans. When a puppy is picked out, a deposit has been made, and a name picked for the puppy, we will begin calling the puppy by the name that their new family has chosen for them so they can become familiar with it. They will have experienced a collar and leash before going home. Training and socialization is very important for any dog of any age and starting young will put your dog on the right track to becoming a well mannered dog. Dogs need training throughout their entire life. Teaching new tricks will be fun for both you and the dog. Positive training methods only please. Using harsh corrections and force will only make your dog fear you and not want to participate in training. Please feel free to ask me if you have questions or would like to know more positive methods. Exercise
All dogs need some form of exercise. Labs are no exception they need daily exercise. Great forms of exercise for labs are fetch, long walks, runs, agility, hunting ect. Family
Labs are great family dogs but it is always important to supervise children when they play with any dogs. Teaching the children fun games to play with puppy will help them bond and will be great exercise for all involved. It is also important to teach the puppy and the children how to interact with each other to insure a happy and fun environment for all. Please Do Your Research To Make Sure The Lab Is The Right Dog For You
