, Bette, and , Sunday, are doing great with their In-Home Training.

Bette: Today we continued to practice the following in a busier location: on and off leash heeling, auto-sits and down-stays & we have been slowly layering E collar into the “down” and “sit” command as well. We also practiced the handler stepping away from the dog.

Sunday: First m.. when I arrived and puppy Sunday greeted me she did NOT jump on me 🙌🙌 She came up to me all excited and justt sat downwn in front of me. Progress from this once very jumpy dog 😂. We introduced light accountability for “stay” today. Sunday already knew “stay” to some degree before formal training but it wasn’t consistent or solid. Today we started building in light accountability for staying and Sunday and owners did great!! We walked around the home, up and down stairs, opened the front door, stepped out on the balcony and we had great progress. We also introduced light leash pressure with the “down” command.

Great day for training! Both dogs and owners are doing stellar.

Great hike at Crowders Mtn today 🐕🐕

The rain, wind and mud all did their job very well: kept most people home and off the trails today (no offense people 😂😂😂). We only saw about 9-10 people our entire hike and for a weekend at Crowders (aka “Crowded Mtn”) that is pretty good. Happy dogs!

Good E Collar Training = fun and SAFE off leash adventures for our dogs with RELIABLE recall (even when distractions are present). 👍

2 Day / 1 Night Hiking Dog Camp is in full swing for these lucky 4 graduate dogs. We started off the day with a 4 mile pack hike this morning. Dogs are having a ball! Note: Halfway through the video the dogs get the rambunctious “zoomies.” I don’t mind when/if dogs get the “zoomies” during a hike AS LONG AS there is no one else around, we are not near any dangerous terrain and I can see VERY FAR down the trail in BOTH directions - to make sure a hiker, mtn biker, etc are not coming. If someone else did start coming down the trail I would quickly call my dogs to me, we would step a good 10’+ off the trail. I would have all the dogs in a calm “stay” and simply allow the other person to pass by. Proper E Collar training = fun & safe off leash adventures for our dogs with RELIABLE recall. 🐕🐕
