2024 was a year of great experiences & education, amazing fundraisers for our local rescues, and record-breaking participation in events such as the annual Dog Gone Good Easter Egg Hunt, Barkfast at SNIFFany's, Customer Appreciation, Barksgiving Feast, Secret Santa Paws Gift Exchange, Grinchmas, and more.

And while we love reflecting on the fantastic successes of the past year, what we're most excited about is the year ahead. We just want to say thank you to all of our amazing participants in this year's Secret Santa Paws gift exchange! We had a record breaking 66 participants. We absolutely LOVE, LOVE this annual event and get literal tears in our eyes seeing the pets open their gifts in our special group page. Thank you to all who participated. ⏰ Time is running out to donate to the annual holiday pet food drive!!! We still haven't reached our goal with just 1 week left to help feed the hungry pets that are in the care of Ring Dog Rescue and Caring For Creatures while they wait for their forever homes.

These rescues have come to rely heavily on the success of this annual food drive and we don't want to disappoint! Please consider even a $5 donation (the small ones add up) to Venmo, PayPal, or in store at Natural Pet Essentials & Dog Wash (we can take donations over the phone, as well).

A short while ago, we tearfully bid farewell to our sassy dumpster kitty. Bird joined the NPE family 5.5 years ago when she emerged from the bushes near the dumpster behind the store. We brought her into the store for her safety and she quickly made herself right at home.

We originally thought she was quite young, as her condition was great. When she presented with hyperthyroidism a few years later, we realized she wasn't quite as young as we had suspected. Bird battled her thyroid and renal disease for about the last two years and her frail little body was tired. We were committed to not letting her suffer and prolong the inevitable for our own personal benefit.

Today is a heartbreakingly sad day for our staff, current and past. We ask that you give kindness during this difficult time, especially so close to the holidays. We understand she will be missed by our customers, as well, as she truly was part of the NPE family. We will all grieve together and support each other. If you have little humans who enjoyed coming in to visit her, we hope that you can gently let them know that Bird has gone on to a happy place where she is free of pain and ailment. ❤️
