Roberta’s Dental Journey! 🦷🐾

Meet Roberta, a 7-year-old English Setter rescued from Greece. Years of running free left her teeth with wear and tear, and a lot of tartar. She never had a dental exam or cleaning, so we knew it was time to give her the care she needed.

After her dental cleaning, she had:
- Fresher breath
- Improved appetite
- More playful energy – her favorite activity is playing with her brother Skip

Now, Roberta is happier, healthier, and ready to patrol the yard or snuggle up during rainy days.

Willow is a 6.5-year-old Labrador retriever. She is so sweet and loves to snuggle. She has a playful side but then can crash (in any position) soon after. She loves to play tug with her brother and sister and tries to show that she is a big girl by letting out some playful growls even though she is the smallest and youngest. Once she is done playing she will always come to find her people sitting on the couch to snuggle next to or even on if she feels like it ( big lap dog). She is very loved at her home and has been a wonderful addition to the household. We also enjoy seeing her here at Chaska Valley Veterinary Clinic, and look forward to watching her grow up. 💖🐶

🐾 Is Your Pet in Dental Pain? Here's What to Look For 🐾

Dental pain in pets can be hard to spot, but if your pet is showing any of these signs, they may need a dental exam:

🤤 Excessive drooling
✋ Pawing at their mouth
🐾 Change in chewing behavior
🍖 Dropping food while chewing
😖 Avoiding having their face or mouth touched
🍽️ Not interested in dry food or hard treats

Bad breath, loose teeth, and bleeding of the gums are also signals of dental disease.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s time for a dental exam to keep your pet's mouth healthy and pain-free.
