This may be the best young female beagle I’ve ever bred. 8 months old. Quick, clean, fast, needs to be toned after 9.5 hours of steady running. Full 15” with conformation to die for. Thanks to Ricky Howell and Steve Aman for selling me the Hounds to make this happen.

This is a Female we sold as a pup. She is 3 years old. Her owner is looking to re-home her due to an in home conflict with her other dogs. I don’t have any other information. If interested I can put you in touch with her owner.
If your dog is freaking out over the eclipse you have a weak nerved dog - Plain and simple! As I knew they would - our dogs cared less.
Always a lesson in every scenario….If you knew your dog was a nerve bag at every weather change that’s one thing, but if you listened to all the advice suggesting you treat your dog like fragile porcelain, you might just have created the problem, they pick up on our every emotion and action.
WE cause most of our dogs behavior problems…Myself included.
Just like Children - Go confidently and they will too!

I am a 21st century dog.
I'm pretty, I'm alert, I'm obedient, I stay in a bag...but I'm also an individual who, from centuries of training, needs to express my instincts, and I am *not* suited for the sedentary life you'd want me to lead.
Spending eight hours a day alone in the house or in the garden - with no work and no one to play or run with, seeing you for a short time in the evening when you get home, and only getting a small toilet walk will make me deeply unhappy.
I'll express it by barking all day, turning your yard into a minefield, doing my needs indoors, being unmanageable the rare times I'll find myself outside, and sometimes spending my days sunk, sad, lonely, and depressed, on my pillow.
You may think that I should be happy to be able to enjoy all this comfort while you go to work, but actually I’ll be exhausted and frustrated, because this is absolutely NOT what I'm meant to do, or what I need to be doing.
If you love me, if you've always dreamed of me, if my beautiful blue eyes or my athletic look make you want me, but you can't give me a real dog's life, a life that's really worth living according to my breed, and if you can't offer me the job that my genes are asking, DO NOT buy or adopt me!
If you like the way I look but aren't willing to accept my temperament, gifts, and traits derived from long genetic selection, and you think you can change them with only your good will, then DO NOT BUY OR ADOPT ME.
I’m a dog from the 21st century, yes, but deep inside me, the one who fought, the one who hunted, the one who pulled sleds, the one who guided and protected a herd still lives within.
So think **very** carefully before you choose your dog. And think about getting two, rather than one, so I won't be so very lonely waiting for you all day. Eight or ten hours is just a workday to you, but it's an eternity for me to be alone.

Lola’s first car ride. First time on a leash or collar. Like I expected she could care less. Not car sick, not scared, not over stimulated.
It may not seem like a big milestone but for many dogs it’ll be one they never comfortably reach. A good part of that is genetic, but at least 50% of it is how these dogs are raised at home. Socialization, guidance and self discovery from birth. How they navigate new stimuli is up to us.
It certainly doesn’t hurt anything, (usually) but you don’t have to continually introduce your dog to new people, environments and stimuli if you, and just importantly your breeder have done the right things at home.

“Lola” recieved her name tonight. I think it fits! She is the last pup we will ever have from her Daddy Fynn. Reminds me so much of him, I initially thought this photo was Fynn as a pup.
She’s magnificent like him - Conformation, intelligence, steely nerves, drive and sound disposition.
It’s a lot of work raising these dogs; a labor of love for sure, but sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it….Looking at her I think it is.
We will start another Basic Obedience Group Class next Wednesday July 19th at 6:00 pm. In Atlantic Mine. Fundamentals of engagement, sit, down, stay, come, heel are taught (in the midst of distractions - other people, dogs and a strange environment.). Total cost is $100. Growing like weeds!
Pups first game of tug with me. They’ve been exploring their world on their own the past few weeks and self discovering. It really spikes their confidence and engagement with people when they learn we hold the reigns to fun games. We still have male and female pups available from this litter.
Pups are East German and Czech imported lines by Vom Lauxen Fynn x Indi Rose Fizaruh. these pups will be all black, bold and medium to large size 65 - 95 lbs. High drive, fearless, but sensible. It may be a cliche’ but they are what you make them.
This will be the final litter out of Fynn.
These pups will be ready to go this Friday. These are the two most industrious which went for a long walk with us tonight.
For those that have reserved a pup out of this litter they will be ready to go in 2 weeks. They are growing like weeds and nearly fully weaned.
Feeling much better and back to Dog training. I am available for individual lessons and will start classes again as soon as spring officially arrives and the snow melts.
We will have several group classes throughout the spring, summer and fall. Class teaches the basics of sit, stay, down, come, heel to do all of these things off leash in the midst of distractions, ie, strange dogs, people and place. More than any of these exercises it is about developing engagement and a relationship with your dog that makes you more important than anything else in the world.
The class consists of 4 weeks, each session 1 week apart. Total cost is $100. All breeds are welcome, however they should be a minimum of twelve weeks old.
These classes are outside and food rewards are used; cut up hot dogs. We provide the hot dogs, if your dog has a food allergy bring your own high value treats. It needs to be something soft that they really like so they can eat them quickly.

For the time being I won’t be doing any dog training as I’m having a TMJ issue that is kind of dominating my life pain wise the last month or so. It has recently become unbearable.
I don’t think it is anything life threatening and hope to be past the worst of this in a few weeks or sooner and get back to the best things in life like training Dogs!
For those that have inquired.…Fynn and Indi have been bred. Pups due April 1. All pups will be black with standard coats.

Pups first taste of jute. Awakens their “grip drive”. All dogs are born with it, the drive that makes puppies untie your shoe laces and pull at your pant legs. I like to teach them they can release that drive on appropriate items, at the appropriate time when I am in charge of “the game”. It can be a valuable tool which adds excitement to a game of fetch with a bit of tug mixed in. Instead of teaching them to tug and tear up things, (your favorite pair of shoes), this early training can do just the opposite and teach them to unleash that drive in a productive, structured way that can branch out into a variety of training techniques down the road.

Last pup available from this litter. He’s a great pup. He’ll have plenty of drive for work, but he’s good natured and mild mannered. We’re not planning any litters until this time next year.

I will host an advanced obedience class starting Wednesday a June 1st at 6:00 pm. Maximum of three students. Dogs will learn the “place” command which reaches them to sit on objects. This exercise really increased the engagement and trust level between handler and canine. Down, Stays and Come from a significant distance and advanced heeling. Depending on the students some dogs will be taught to jump obstacles. This again builds trust and engagement. Text, message or call to sign up. (906)282-6133. Training will be in Atlantic Mine.
