Happy Vet Tech Week!!! We are starting off right! Did you know that National Veterinary Technician Week (NVTW) was first celebrated in 1993 by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). The week is held annually in the third week of October to recognize the important role veterinary technicians play in animal health and the veterinary profession.

Misty 🐶 is being such a good girl for her bath 🛁🧼 Misty gets a medicated bath weekly with an anti microbial, anti fungal, and anti biofilm shampoo 🧴 She always feels so much better after her day with us and that makes us smile 😃

Meet Spooky 👻 What a great name for the season 🎃 This is Spooky’s first time at the doctor and she had her blood drawn 🧛‍♀️ Why you ask? Spooky needed to be tested for the feline leukemia virus and the feline immunodeficiency virus 🦠 These viruses can weaken a cats immune system, making them more susceptible to other infections and illnesses 😷 Thankfully Spooky’s tests were negative and she is a happy healthy girl 💙

Happy Thursday ☀️ Bandit is here for a checkup 👩🏻‍⚕️ He has been having problems with his hips so Dr. Rediger spoke to his parents 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 about Librela. Librela is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets a key 🔑 driver of osteoarthritis pain. It works to reduce pain signals, making it easier for your dog 🐶 to move and play 🎾. Here’s a fun pic of our friend, Skutor! 🐾🦴 Skutor is a Chinese Crested which is a smaller version of the African hairless dog. How about a fun fact?!? Skutor’s ancestors used to hunt rats 🐀 on ships⛵️Yuck! But totally necessary.
