It is designed to promote adoptable pets, engage our community in supporting animals in need, and provide information and resources for the pet-loving public. These wonderful pups have been at our center since March 2024 and are in desperate need of loving homes where they can enjoy the rest of their lives. 🐶🎾🐾🦴

These four dogs are all Slumber Pawty approved and would love to cuddle up and watch a movie with you! 🎬

Meet our amazing dogs 🐕:

Saratoga: Saratoga is a 2-year-old cuddle bug who adores people! She enjoys short walks, movie nights, and snuggling up in a warm bed. Saratoga needs an adults-only home with no cats.

Peppercorn: Peppercorn is a 1-year-old goofy boy who loves his toys more than anything! While he’s not a fan of cats, he’s excited to meet his future furry siblings during a meet-and-greet.

Zade: This 2-year-old tug-of-war champion is searching for a lifelong partner! Zade loves hiking, enrichment toys, and running around the park.

Moe: Moe is a 3-year-old lap dog with a huge smile! He enjoys playtime, walks well on a leash, and is a big hiking enthusiast looking for his perfect adventure buddy.

Meet Tinker, our "Pet of the Week"! ⭐️🐶

This three-year-old social butterfly is ready to flutter her way into your heart and home. Tinker is the ultimate people pleaser—she thrives on attention and loves being your partner in everything! Whether she’s strutting her stuff on a leash or living her best life at the dog park, Tinker is all about making memories with her human(s) and doggy friends alike.

She’s got the paw-fect mix of energy and affection, and her love for treats is only matched by her love for playtime! Plus, Tinker is Slumber Pawty approved, meaning she’s already a pro at cozying up and making herself at home.

HELP! WE NEED TREATS 🐶🐾

With over 200 pups in our care right now, we’re going through dog treats faster than you can say “sit!” If each dog got just one treat a day for a week, we’d be handing out more than 2,000 treats—yep, in just ONE WEEK! And while our furry friends aren’t too picky, they do go wild for the meaty stuff over biscuits. They’d love you forever if you brought their favorites like Beggin’ Strips, Pup-Peronis, and Nudges.

Our pups also need fun chews to keep them busy! Bully sticks, beef chews, and Nylabones are always a hit. If you’d like to be a friend to our shelter pups, you can drop off your donations anytime at the Center by placing items in one of our brown donation bins, which can be found on the left-hand side of our main entrances.

McKamey Animal Center will be closed to the public on Monday, January 20, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There will be no Vaccine and Microchip clinic this Monday. Clinic will resume at MAC on January 27, 2025. Animal Protection Services will be responding to emergency calls only.
