Play Dog Excellent Play Dog Excellent dog daycare, boarding, and training for the best dogs in Chattanooga, TN. Welcome to Play Dog eXcellent (PDX).

We have been providing services for the best dogs in the Chattanooga area, including boarding, dog daycare, training, seminars, workshops, and performance events since 2004. Known locally as the old skating rink, our 20,000 square-foot facility is a brick building on top of a hill sitting on more than four acres. We are proud members of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the Red

Bank Council of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, and we are active in the Chattanooga Dog Agility Club. We attend educational seminars as often as possible, and train and compete in dog sports including Rally, Freestyle, Flyball, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Lure Coursing, Scentwork, and Herding.

We Just wanted to remind everyone of our limited business hours on Friday because of the 4th of July. We will not be having classes or daycare, but we will be open from 6:00 PM until 6:30 PM for boarding pick-up and drop-off. We WILL be operating with our normal business hours on Thursday 7/3.

Orientation is 7/15 at 6:45 PM (without dogs) and registrations for the July class session closes on 7/18.

Answer: A Rough Collie! did you know all the dogs portraying Lassie have been male? Both sexes shed in the summer (when most movies and television shows traditionally film most of their episodes), but since the male dogs have thicker fur, they wouldn't look so scrawny during filming.

We just wanted to take a moment to give everyone a little more information on our boarding availability for the 4th of July. Unfortunately we are currently full the weekend of the 4th. That being said, we are urging any of our frequent boarders and daycare dogs to make their summer reservations ASAP so they can get all of the dates they want.

Also, we just wanted to remind everyone that there are never any penalties for changing or cancelling reservations. We just ask that you let us know as soon as you can about any changes in dates.

Last of all, we regretfully can not take on any new boarding clients during the 4th, but we still have some limited availability the weeks in-between then.
