Kennel gurus Winter and Mattie are camping out at PDX tonight to ensure the best care for our intrepid overnight boarders. Please keep them in your thoughts as they feed, med, clean, skritch, hug, and towel the snow off of their frisky charges. And may the Ghost of PDX rest easy tonight!

Looking at the weather, we have made the call this morning that we WILL NOT be open for daycare tomorrow, Friday 1/10/2025. This is not a decision that we have come to easily, but we felt called to do for the saftey of all those involved, both human & dog. We will still have staff in the building that will be taking care of the dogs that are staying with us tomorrow and through the weekend.

Here is our modified hours for tomorrow:
No Daycare or grooming
Boarding arrivals & departures 8AM - 11:30AM

We have a quick update about Friday! On Friday we WILL still be open for daycare, boarding, and grooming as normal, but we WILL NOT be having our evening classes.

Nosework 1 on Friday at 6:15 will be postponed until next week, 1/17.

No Daycare or grooming, but we will be open for kennel pick-up & drop-offs from 6pm to 6:30pm.

❤️Dogs of Yore❤️
The down side to being in business for 20 years is that we’ve had to say goodbye to so many good dogs. The average lifespan for a dog is 10-13 years; a little shorter for giant breeds, a little longer for littles. We have a Rainbow Bridge display in the lobby. We used to keep individual pictures, but that got out of hand around 2018, and we ended up going to four digital displays. We also keep a Rainbow Bridge page on the web site. When I’m not in too fragile a mood, it’s good to go there and visit old friends who are waiting patiently for us to rejoin them. We thought this post might be a good place for everyone to put up a picture and maybe some memories if you can bear it.
