So we have signs on the door for a reason. I have changed the main one because people decide they are unimportant and ignore them. I just added a second one. I ask that everyone respect their dogs and allow them to potty prior to entering the building! And yes you do have to clean up after them. If you are physically unable to do so then let us know so we can clean up. I have the door bell because it gets rather loud in the salon due to dryers and fans and barking etc. WE CANNOT HEAR YOU ENTER! I have been yelled at because a man thought he waited to long yet he didn't ring the bell. We've also had an incident a while back with a homeless man. I don't want to lock the door but it will be locked if dogs are not walked and the bell is not used. Then you will be in the weather until I am able to come unlock the door.

Just wanted to update everyone. I have been out of town since Thursday. My very first friend ever lost her battle with cancer. Was out of town at her funeral. I haven't checked messages as of yet. I will be doing that tomorrow when we open back up at 9. Thank you for everyone understanding when we had to reschedule this past weekend. Just wanted to update. I promise I will be returning messages over the next day or two(depending on how many I have). We won't be taking any new furbabies until after the first of the year.

I actually got notified of 2 messages but everyone I click to go see and respond to them they aren't showing up on my messages. I have deleted and reinstalled etc. So please call or text the phone not Facebook Messenger.

Long post! Important points throughout. Please read...For some reason I don't always get notifications that I have Facebook messages. Please call or text the salon if you don't get a response on messenger. And I rarely check email unless I'm expecting an email such as vet records. I Do Not Make Appointments Thru Email. We are open Wednesday thru Saturday. 9am until between 3 and 5. We book around 4 weeks out for haircuts and long hair bath doggos. Remember if you have a large breed long hair furbaby you take up 2 appointment slots! Yes your doodle or husky or other large breed takes longer due to size and coat. You Will Not get in the same day or possibly the same week at most grooming salons. All furbabies should get in with a groomer no later than 3 months old. This helps them to learn the processes and makes it more of a spa day rather than a high anxiety I hate this, situation. Your groomer needs to gain their trust and vice versa. I have been dealing with tennis elbow for weeks now and thus I'm moving a little slow. I am a human being just like you. Each and every furbaby that comes into my salon is a priority. No one is above another... This statement includes the humans on the other end of the leash. I work on each particular furbaby's time. The majority of my babies that come see me are high anxiety or elderly or both. This takes a little more time. I will only send out a reminder text if you request it. I do not automatically send out reminders. My former grooming assistant did this on her own. If you would like a reminder please request this. I also do not get to answer the phone throughout the day. I'm not going to stop working on a furbaby to answer the phone. They are my priority when they are on my table. This is why I have voicemail or text messaging. When you call and hang up and call and hang up motor times with in minutes not only are you not learning a message and waiting patiently for a return call that will happen as soon as I'm free to do so.... You are being rude to the furbaby I have on my table. Would you be ok with your hairdresser or doctor stopping your appointment to answer the phone? Also we have p**p bags and a bucket outside. You need to respect your furbaby as well as the salon by allowing them to potty before you enter the salon. And pick up after your furbaby. If they pottied at home great but please walk them before bringing them in the salon. Be respectful. Long post but lots to be said.

Hello all of our furbaby peeps! Just wanted to take a moment to reach out to all of you. Normally we book out 2 weeks and have been doing so for a few years now. This is not new. There are 2 of us. A groomer (who does all the actual haircuts) and a groomer's assistant. However, during the holiday and peak season we do book out a little further, sometimes around 4-6 weeks. We do recommend getting put on the maintenance schedule. This means being scheduled every X amount of weeks depending on what we discuss and agree upon to suit your furbaby's needs. This insures your furbaby doesn't miss their spa day. We can only take in so many haircuts and so many baths per day. Keep in mind some of your bigger furbabies take up 2 appointment slots due to the size and amount of time their spa day entails. Also, the majority of our furbabies are special needs. For example: high anxiety and/or elderly. Thus, they take longer than the average furbaby. We will not rush the furbaby. We work on their time. Therefore, we do take longer than your average grooming salon.
We have stopped accepting new doodles at this time, due to their size and amount of time they take. They take up 2 or 3 appointment slots and we're at maximum capacity. This has nothing to do with the type of breed they are. We accept all breeds. This is solely based on their size and our available staff.
Everyone has signed our policy paperwork. Therefore, everyone should be aware of the 10 minute grace period and the no show fee. We've been lenient and not charged on the first no show. However we're not a large corporation. I still have to pay my assistant, the bills, tool maintenance, etc when you miss your appointment.
I would love to hire an additional groomer . However I'm very particular with how people treat my furbabies.
If you need to leave your furbaby longer than the average appointment time this needs to be mentioned at the time of scheduling your appointment.
We walk all furbabies as needed. However, at drop off we are not able to walk them. We ask that you please let your furbaby go potty at drop off. There are bags available to use outside and in the lobby.
Starting in February we will be open on Tuesdays for just a few hours to try and catch up on the over flow.

Hey y'all with the holiday season in tow we have some products we wanted to tell you about!
First we have our Misty Eyes spray. This stuff is a miracle in a bottle. It's made by Zen Dog and is veterinarian approved! Can be sprayed directly in and around the eye for rapid relief to dry and irritated eyes. We use it for the really difficult tear gunk. It helps to loosen and makes it easier to remove with out much irritation.
Second we have our brushes. They are by Master Grooming Tools. They come in 3 different styles to fit your furbabies coat type and texture. They are rubber gripped handles with flexible heads to help glide through the coats easily. Makes those difficult areas easier on you.
Next we have our combs. The combs are by Andis. These are a very important tool to have on hand. This is what you use to check the coat for tangles and by doing so it let's you know where to continue brushing.
We also have Gift Certificates available for purchase. They are available year round but they make the perfect holiday gift for every furbabies favorite human! They are available in all denominations and can be used for any service or boutique item.
Last but not least we have custom dog bone name plates that can be simply displayed, used as a Christmas ornament as well as many other things. These are made by a local artist Seth Compton @ Whiskey River Design LLC. Ask about our other personalized or custom items.

We've had some concern about the dog flu outbreak. We have not experienced any signs or symptoms at the shop. However as with anything there's always a possibility. Just walking outside you can catch a cold. We would hope and appreciate if our furparents would keep their babies at home if experiencing any of the symptoms. Just like you would keep a sick child home from school. Praying for good health for everyone.

Call, text or message us for your furbabies spa day asap!! You do not have to get a haircut to come in for a bath. A regular bathing routine is beneficial to maintaining skin and coat. Also it helps with regular brushing and keeps your pet's coat free of dirt, fungus, and odors throughout the year. Just a reminder! We are out of town! Just made it to the hotel in Grand Rapids Michigan. We will be returning to work on July 26th. I will be updating our voicemail(we still don't get notified of voicemails😡). However I did not bring my appointment book with me.
