We're back from our Holiday. Experienced the 'Atlanta Blackout' and, on return, the 'Bomb Cyclone'. What an adventure!
The greenhouse did its job and protected our tender plants, no power outages and the lights cycled as planned.
I deep watered all the plants before leaving and most of them fared quite well during our 3 week absence.

We are back from the National Iris Convention in Des Moines. An epic trip! We saw old friends, made new friends, visited beautiful gardens, talked to experts, and learned more about one of our favorite plants.

It's the first really cool day in what seems like forever. i am working from the porch today - this instant bamboo fountain has been one of the best additions to the space this year. i just decided to tuck the plants in there 2 days ago!

I didn't know we'd be able to fit this crane. The tree service is doing a great job. Did I mention they drive those trucks as if they were Ferrari's?
we are getting nice, soft rain here today. tomorrow, the sick, heavily leaning tree by the garage will come out. hopefully it will not come completely out of the wet ground and fall on top of the garage today.
The iris are going to be in peak this weekend. come by and visit with us, we will be here for our driveway sale Saturday and Sunday.
