Great resource to help explain our jurisdiction and additional resources!
Did you know that because HES is a municipal shelter, we are bound by LAW to jurisdictions? HES serves unincorporated Hamilton Co., Soddy Daisy, Collegedale, and Walden and are ONLY able to intake animals within these limits per government mandate - it's not because we don't care, but there are strict rules and regulations that must be followed!
If you are surrendering an animals that you own or have found outside our jurisdiction, here are some resources to help:
