Lint rolling surgical fabrics is tedious, but imperative. No stray lint or fur can be allowed to contaminate the surgical tools or sterile area.This is one of the many things volunteers can do to assist Twila with the never ending work involved in running this program.

Two brothers and their sister are heading to Kaija's Garden and Pet today to find their purrever homes.
They had their nails clipped just before their photo shoot. It didn't endear them to the photographer. They don't have names yet, but they are friendly.

BOOKS...BOOKS...BOOKS...BOOKS

We are getting very close to commencing the remodel of one half of our building that will include a cat sanctuary with a balcony catio (for unadoptable cats we have rescued over the years), crisis boarding (short term cat housing for victims of flood, fire, domestic violence, injury or illness), an adoption area with a ground-level catio, 3 sitting rooms (to meet and play with cats), a cafe (Patty Cat Cafe) and 2 reading rooms for school-age children to cuddle with a cat and read to them!

If you have non-political, non-controversial books that are in good condition and appropriate for children (anywhere from K-12 grade), PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING them to The Cat's Meow for our reading rooms.

Are you proficient in CAD, specifically AutoCAD?

The Cat's Meow Spay, Neuter & Adoption Project needs help converting our floor plan (drawn using FloorPlanCreator) to CAD so we can hire an engineer to spec out everything the city requires.

We could have the engineer do this, but it will cost us thousands!!

If you can help, please let me know.

Next Wednesday we meet again with the City of Chehalis to discuss parking for our cafe. We are zeroing in on details and getting oh-so-close to a solution.

Our cafe may be able to seat around 60 people if we get the best parking option....or 30 if we get the lease optimal parking.

Fingers crossed for the best!!!

Changes are on the horizon!

We are currently not doing spays/neuters, but are instead finishing up our remodel to include:
*a CAT CAFE!!!
*an adoption center with visiting rooms!
*a larger low-income, low-cost spay/neuter space (and very likely spay/neuter for dogs up to 15 #!)
*a low-cost night vet (not emergency, so actually affordable!) for low-income cat owners

We will again be performing spays/neuters later this year (if all goes well with the remodel) and be able to offer all of the above services as well!

But....we need your help! Please consider donating to our efforts so we can do even more for you and the cats you love! Changes are on the horizon!

WE DO SURGERIES YEAR-ROUND, BUT ONLY PLACE 2-3 WEEKS ONLINE AT A GIVEN TIME.  THIS WAY, IF THERE IS A CATSTROPHE (SUCH AS THE 3 MONTH SPAY/NEUTER SHUT DOWN IN 2020), WE ONLY HAVE TO RESCHEDULE A FEW DOZEN CATS RATHER THAN SEVERAL HUNDRED.  ALSO, AS A NON-PROFIT, WE DO NOT HAVE A LARGE STAFF TO AN...
