PT comes in all forms here at Barn. For Dwight, our animal care staff aims to do about 30 minutes of massage with a massage gun. They target 3 different sets of muscles (the same on each side of the body). In addition to the massage gun, they do an exercise called wither rocking from each side. He also uses a surefoot pad on each of his rear legs. The exercises were recommended to us by @unbridledequine to try to help with his mobility and use of his RR leg which he has had great success with since being here at Barn.

Help Fuel our Mission🚜⚙️: The vehicles here at Barn Sanctuary aren’t just means of transportation - they are lifelines for our residents. We constantly rely on our UTVs, tractors, truck, trailers, and vans on a daily basis. Whether we’re rushing a resident to the vet for an emergency visit, delivering essential supplies across the property, or rescuing an animal in need, these vehicles are essential to providing exceptional care. In this video, our Facilities Manager, Jack, explains how our vehicles are critical to our rescue and care operations.
These hardworking vehicles have been by our side year after year, powering through muddy pastures in the Spring and icy roads in the Winter. But recently, our fleet of vehicles has been facing numerous mechanical issues. These costs have quickly added up, creating a significant financial burden for us. By donating today, you are not just helping to keep our vehicles in safe, working condition, but allowing us to keep ensuring our residents receive the best care possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps fuel our mission of compassionately caring for animals.❤️

Thank you to the Salvation Army of Washtenaw County for generously donating bags of carrots to Barn Sanctuary yesterday for our residents! Enjoy the sounds of our pigs happily munching away!🐷🥕
Our sweet boy Steve went to Michigan State University last Friday with KJ for a routine hoof trim. Unfortunately, the vet found a significant amount of fluid in Steve’s chest during his checkup.
Listen to Alicia and Tom explain what is happening with Steve and his health.
