To Our Incredible Barn Family,
As we close out another year of rescues, second chances, and full bellies, we find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude for each and every one of you.
You are the reason 140+ rescued farmed animals have a safe place to call home. You are the reason that turkeys get to strut through open pastures instead of ending up on tables. You are the reason cows feel grass beneath their feet, pigs roll in mud puddles with pure joy, and chickens dust-bathe in the sun without fear.
Every donation—whether it’s $5 or $500—fills hay feeders, pays vet bills, fixes fences, and ensures that animals who were once seen as products are now cherished as individuals with names, personalities, and stories worth telling.
Without you, there is no Barn Sanctuary. Without your compassion, your generosity, and your unwavering commitment, none of this would be possible.
From the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of every resident who now gets to live the life they deserve—thank you. Thank you for being part of this mission. Thank you for seeing these animals as the beautiful souls they are. Thank you for choosing compassion.
With endless gratitude and love,
The Barn Sanctuary Team (and all 140+ residents who send their snorts, moos, clucks, and oinks of appreciation)

This is it—our $25,000 matching gift opportunity ends at MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

We're so close to our goal, but we need your help to get there. Right now, every dollar you give is still being doubled, but only until the clock strikes midnight.

This is your last chance to make twice the impact!

As we close out 2025, the rescued animals are counting on this community to help them through the winter ahead. Heating costs are rising, medical needs continue, and 140+ animals depend on us every single day.

Don't let this opportunity slip away! https://www.barnsanctuary.org/?form=FUNQFJGPZBY

Hello Barn Fam,
We are very sad to share that we recently lost one of our dear elderly roosters, Jamie. After a long battle with heart disease, he passed peacefully at home, by his best friend Dougal's side.
Jamie was one of seven roosters that were illegally dumped on our sanctuary's drive in the freezing cold, just days before Christmas 2020. Luckily, as our shelter director was driving in for her shift, she spotted the abandoned flock, whom she lovingly named after characters from the show Outlander. Over the years, most of the roosters have battled with arthritis and heart conditions, which our vets have told us are likely due to poor care/nutrition prior to them being dumped at the sanctuary.
Several years ago, Jamie's mobility and heart began to deteriorate. We began medical treatment for the heart condition and were advised by our vets to encourage him to move and walk more to help alleviate his stiff tendons, so we would take him on daily walks in a harness around the sanctuary to visit with other residents.
His favorite resident of all was his flock mate and soulmate, Dougal. Their love for each other was so inspiring. They were absolutely inseparable. They perched together every single night and when their arthritis made it too difficult for them to perch, they would nestle up together in their favorite fort.
Over the last several months, we started to notice some advancement in his heart condition. He and Dougal were temporarily housed in our oxygen tent onsite until he was stabilized and we adjusted his meds to help keep him as comfortable as possible until it was his time.
We miss our sweet and gentle friend so very much already, and know that Dougal is missing him even more. We are so grateful for the five years that we had together.

Your donation today will honor the memory of Jamie while fueling our ongoing mission of rescue and care. Each contribution helps us create a lasting tribute to those who have crossed the rainbow bridge, ensuring their stories continue to inspire compassion and change. https://www.barnsanctuary.org/?form=FUNRZGYTEGT

We have incredible news to share: A generous donor has offered a $25,000 matching gift to Barn—which means every dollar you give will be DOUBLED, up to $25,000.

Your $50 becomes $100. Your $100 becomes $200.
This is our chance to raise money for the animals who depend on us, but only if supporters like you step up before this match expires.

Right now, 140+ rescued farmed animals are counting on us to keep them warm, fed, and safe through the winter months. But we can’t do this without you.
