We’ve had several calls on this one, so get you reservations in early. Rock Haven Farms will host a Pheasant Tower Hunt on February 8, 2025 starting at 8:30 am. Following the hunt, we will serve a meal of BBQ with all the fixings and delicious deserts. The cost of the hunt is $250 per hunter, but kids under age 16 may hunt at no charge when accompanying a paid adult hunter. All harvested game will be divided among the hunters. With a concern over safety we feel we need to set some strict guidelines for shell selection for our Pheasant Tower Hunts. Participants may only use 2 3/4 “ shells with shot sizes 5, 6, 7.5, or 8. We had some participants using 00 Buckshot last year and this is a huge safety concern. Plenty of pheasants have been harvested with # 8 target loads so shot sizes larger than No. 5 are unnecessary, and dangerous to the other hunters. Anyone not following this rule will be asked to leave.

We look forward to seeing everyone October 26. You have plenty of time to get your shells that are appropriate to these guidelines.

It’s time to sign up for the October 26 Pheasant Tower Hunt. It is an amazing good time and a great hunt to bring the kiddos along. Kids hunt at no additional charge with paid adults. It includes lunch and the harvested pheasants are divided among the hunters so everyone goes home with game. Then watch this page for links to recipes. It is $250 for adult hunters. On Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 8:30 am Rock Haven Farms will host a pheasant tower hunt. This hunt is ideal for giving a kid the experience of a hunt. The cost of the hunt is $250 per adult hunter. Youth hunters under age 16 may hunt at no additional charge when accompanied by an adult paid hunter. Hunters are stationed around a central tower where pheasants are released and hunters advance periodically around the stations hunting a variety of topography. A BBQ lunch with all the fixings is provided following the hunt at noon. Harvested pheasants will be divided among the hunters. Call Rocky and register for this Tower Pheasant Hunt.

Our preserve season starts on October 1. We have pheasant, quail and chukar available. We have maintained some high cover for working dogs on pheasant in advance of the early Midwest pheasant season. Give us a call if you’d like to tune up your hunting buddy.

We have completed our summer puppy program and owners are picking up their pups. We are accepting a few dogs to work with pre-season. If you’d like to get your dog tuned up for the upcoming season, give Rocky a call.

So, we work with dogs and we love ‘em. The continental breeds are mostly German and some French, but sometimes we get a rarer bird dog breed. We had fun with this Bracco Italiano. Great fun!
