Meet Black Jack!

Meet Shy

😍A SUPER update on PFL Alumni Maverick ( Now Trip )

I wanted to share an update... Trip is fabulous! He has adjusted to life as a Christofano beautifully.
His first couple of days with us, we gave him space and time to just BE. He slept for almost 3 days straight. Then on day 4 his personality started shining through! He is the most lovable boy who just wants to be near his people.
He loves his toys, especially squeaky toys, and he goes bananas when we play with balls.
He never stops smiling!
He has met a lot of new people and dogs, and he loves everyone!
He loves car rides and has learned that when we get to where we are going someone is gonna give him a snack.
He is calm and loving with my 77 year old dad, and he is playful and energetic when my kids want to play ball with him.
We have a crate out for Trip, but have never used it because he sleeps in bed with us or one of the kids. 🙂
We are working on leash skills. He LOVES outside and gets excited to chase critters.
We are working on Drop It when we play with toys. He is a fast learner!

In short, we are all madly in love with this amazing boy.

Your evaluation and description of him was perfectly spot on, and we can't tell you how much we appreciate that! You helped us find the absolute perfect dog for our family and lifestyle. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Maya is a 4.5 year-old Malamute who is the best girl, and she’s looking for her forever home. She’s playful, sweet, and loves people. Her favorite things are playing with her toys and hanging out with people. Her previous owner moved and could not take her and she faced a dire situation, so we are fostering her temporarily.

Maya weighs 80-90 lbs. but is quite gentle for her size. She’s had no issues with us handling or removing her toys or food, and we were able to give her a bath with no issues.
She was an outside dog at her previous home, but has very quickly adapted to indoor life and mostly prefers to be inside, unless we are outside with her. Despite spending most of her life outdoors, she is house-trained and has not had any accidents indoors since she’s been with us. We are not crating her, and she hasn’t been destructive at all.

We don’t think she was walked regularly and could use some additional leash training, however she adapted very quickly to using a head harness (gentle leader) and doesn’t pull on walks when using it. Maya is a little too interested in the deer and rabbits we’ve seen on walks, and true to her breed she seems to have a high prey drive, so we would not recommend a home with cats or other small animals. Maya would also need a fenced-in yard. A house with older children or adults would probably be best as she is an extremely sweet but strong pup.

She seems to be friendly towards other dogs and really wants to play with them while on walks. She was previously an only dog, and Maya was not socialized much as a young dog so we’re not completely sure how she would do in a home with other dogs but she shows much promise.

She knows the sit command, at least when treats are involved. Maya is a smart girl and is starting to pick up other commands as well, such as shake and down. She will cry for a few seconds when we leave her, but then settles down very quickly. She sleeps through the night without crying or barking. She is not up- to-date on shots and will need a vet visit, but appears healthy and in good shape. She is spayed and apparently microchipped, but the chip is not active.

Luna enjoys snuggles on the couch and walks outside. She rides well in the car and is housebroken! This little girl is looking for her next fur-ever home!

On Wednesday we had an awesome group of kids come out to see what we do here at PFL! our dogs loved EVERY second of it! They went on walks, got baths and just loved on!
