Now offering Introduction to Obstacles Riding and Introduction to Mountain Trail Riding lessons! Designed to build confidence, trust, communication and practical skills, these beginner friendly lessons are available to individuals and small groups by appointment. Lessons (approximately an hour) are priced as follows:

Individual (1 rider) $65
Semi-private (2 riders): $55 per rider
Small group (5 riders max): $45 per rider

Lesson instructor Amy Geuy has over 20 years of experience promoting successful partnerships between people and their horses* across a range of disciplines. She brings this same commitment to each lesson.

We've been busy! We enjoyed a successful weekend at the EPAWE - Eastern Pennsylvania Working Equitation rated show held at Collective Roots Dressage CRD with the ever amazing Polly Limond Dressage and Working Equitation. We're so proud of Bayo and Alfonso Doce ! Legend LARP had a great time with their weekend event at The Horse Park at Gryphon Run as well. Now we're mowing, mowing, and mowing ahead of re-opening The Horse Park tomorrow for your enjoyment. The Horse Park at Gryphon Run in Chesapeake will be CLOSED May 16 - 18 for a private event. We are hosting Legend LARP and War Gaming. We have been chosen as their preferred venue for the 3rd consecutive time!

We'd love to be your preferred venue for your next event. Contact us to go over rates, amenities, etc and to get booked on our schedule.

Last but not least in our pack of tiny dogs at the park is Luda! Luda's work ethic is second none. He is always up to something! And the Southeast Virginia Dressage Association schooling show is what's up at The Horse Park at Gryphon Run in Chesapeake tomorrow, May 11! We're thrilled to host them for the second consecutive year and to be the venue where Tina Bodnar will be doing her century ride.

Wow, look at the forecast for tomorrow (Saturday May 10)! It's going to be a fabulous day to play with your horse at The Horse Park at Gryphon Run at 2520 Number Ten Lane in Chesapeake! The park has been mowed and w**d whacked so it's all fresh and ready for your enjoyment.

We're open 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Day passes can be purchased in advance ($25) on our website gryphonrun.com or when you arrive (just let us know you're coming). Pack a picnic, bring some friends, and sit in the shade at our picnic table and relax after your ride. You can also park your trailer in the shade so your horse will be comfortable too.

It's cross-fit Friday and we're focusing on the benefits of training your horse to walk through water. First, it's vital for their safety and well-being, especially in flood prone areas like Hampton Roads. In the first pic, a sudden downpour and temperature drop required these girls to bring the horses to the barn immediately. Imagine the consequences if a horse refused to go through the water! Second, walking through water strengthens muscles, especially the top line and hindquarters, and can improve circulation. Third, desensitizing your horse to water builds trust and confidence. And finally, it's fun to play in water, especially on a hot day!

We have a purpose built and very clean horse pond at The Horse Park at Gryphon Run for all the above reasons. We're open 7 days a week, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Day passes can be purchased on our website gryphonrun.com.
