Our lionhead rabbit Grae had 5 bunnies recently. Look at this lil fam! They are out and about now and open for public interactions 🙂. Come check them out these next couple weeks when they're still so little! We do sell these bunnies too for more info on that please text the Barnyard 🙂. G'day mates! We're looking forward to seeing alot of you this upcoming week. It's gonna be fun! We're stoked that the Cool Uncle is helping us kick off spring break week with his foam party tomorrow! For those of you who really enjoy his foam parties here are the dates and times he's planning on coming out this week 🙂.

Monday 12 pm-4 pm

Friday 1 pm - 4pm
and
Saturday 1 pm - 4pm

Please keep in mind these are all subject to weather. It's looking like a beautiful week though! If you want to be sure he'll be here any given day feel free to DM him

Also!! He strongly suggests bringing towels and a change of clothes for the kiddos. It gets messy!

Good Morning everyone! We're here 9 am - 6 pm despite the chilly grey. For those of you who prefer avoiding a crowd, today would be a great day to come out! We always anticipate it being a little slower on the farm when the weather isn't as friendly 🙂. Everything will still be up and running and several of our exhibits are indoors in the barns 😉. We'd be stoked to see any of y'all today! ✌️🐐

Here's a little showcase of some of the goaties that were born here recently!

Last but not least, Hanna's little guys. Hanna is one of our older breeding does here. She stuggled a little bit this year so we decided it was best to pull her kids and bottlefeed them. This will also be her last year breeding 💙. They are the sweetest little duo, bottle babies really become attached to their caretakers. And anyone who looks like they might have a baba!

All of these babies are already sold but we should have plenty more births in the coming months and even through the summer!

Hey Y'all! We're doing something a little different this week. Due to receiving a decent amount of interest in weekday pony rides lately we are going to give it a go!

Starting tomorrow Tuesday 4/1 we will offer pony rides every day from 10:30 am - 1 pm. No joke!

Come meet our new ponies Chip and Gail! And of course ol' Bandit will be out here doing his thing as well. So saddle up partners! Let's ride! 🤠🐎

Hey hey! This weekend looks like it's really warming up and we're having the Cool Uncle back out with his FOAM PARTY Saturday! He'll be here 12-3 Saturday March 29th. The FOAM PARTY will be free with the purchase of an admission ticket to the Barnyard. Come take off your shoes and Boogie! ✌️🌞🫧🕺💃

It's back. We're back! This weekend we're hosting our first public goat yoga class of the season! All the same characters are back. Katie Jo Wellness will be leading, lil baby piglets will be in the class, and of course lil baby goats will be in the class! The class is at 9 am this Saturday, March 29th, here at Bergeys. Woohoo! The first round of goaties are here! Cammy kicked us off with these twin boys last week. They're out and about for y'all to see now ! Cammy started a chain of events and we had 4 does give birth within 4 days. So there are little ones everywhere right now! We'll share some pics of them later 😉. Today is the day. That the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it. It is also the day we're allowing the public to start interacting with some of June's piglets! She had 10 of them, every single one is a female. What are the odds!? This is always a super exciting part of spring awakening over here. These little girls are so cute, come get some fresh air and visit! Enjoy what should be a beautiful week y'all ☀️🙂✌️🐷

In celebration of the wind pushing out this cold weather tomorrow we’re having the Cool Uncle out to party!! 🎉 His foam machine is always a hit with the kiddos. He even has some new inflatables he’s gonna try out!

Come on out he will be here from 12pm - 3pm tomorrow Saturday March 15th. The FOAM PARTY is included with the price of admission to the Barnyard tomorrow too!! 👀

Good Morning! We're doing something a little different this weekend.

This Friday and Saturday 11/1 and 11/2 we're partnering with Operation Blessing and their Hurricane Helene relief fund. 100 percent of our proceeds those two days will go towards the relief fund. Come on out y'all and have a good time and support a good cause!

It All Started With Two Goats

TO GIVE THE CLEAREST POINT OF VIEW ONTO HOW BERGEYS BARNYARD CAME ABOUT WE HAVE TO GO WAY BACK. THE PIECE OF LAND THAT OUR PETTING ZOO IS ON HAS BEEN IN THE BERGEY FAMILY FOR A LONG TIME. IN 1933 TITUS BERGEY BOUGHT THE FARM THAT WAS HERE FROM HIS FATHER IN LAW. HE ALSO ADDED COWS TO THE FARM AND STARTED BERGEYS DAIRY. THE DAIRY GREW AND WAS PASSED ONTO THE NEXT GENERATIONS. IN 2005 THE DAIRY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. IN 2006 TITUS'S GRANDSON HAROLD BERGEY, ALONG WITH OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS, OPENED BERGEYS BREADBASKET, THE BAKERY/DELI/ICE CREAM SHOP THAT IS STILL HERE! IN 2011 TITUS'S GREAT GRANDSON , JOEL BERGEY MOVED TO CHESAPEAKE TO WORK AT THE BREADBASKET. THE FARM AT THE TIME HAD NO ANIMALS. THE BARNS WERE BASICALLY BEING USED AS LARGE STORAGE SHEDS, FULL OF ALL KINDS OF STUFF! ONE DAY JOEL'S SISTER, LAURA, SAID "JOEL, WE SHOULD GET SOME GOATS!" JOEL THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD IDEA AND AGREED. A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER LAURA SHOWED UP WITH A COUPLE OF BABY NIGERIAN DWARF GOATS IN A CARDBOARD BOX IN THE BACK OF HER BEAT UP HONDA CIVIC. STOCKTON AND MALONE. AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF WATERING AND FEEDING STOCKTON AND MALONE JOEL REALIZED THEY WEREN'T "THEIR" GOATS, THEY WERE "HIS" GOATS. HE ALSO NOTICED THAT BREADBASKET CUSTOMERS ENJOYED VISITING WITH THE GOATS. IT WASN'T LONG AFTER HE DECIDED TO GET TWO PIGS "PIGGY AND CHARLOTTE" AND A DONKEY "BUDDY". DUCKS AND MORE GOATS FOLLOWED. THE CUSTOMER REACTION WAS GOOD BUT THE EXPENSES WERE STARTING TO PILE UP! JOEL CONSIDERED EITHER DOWNSIZING OR CREATING A SELF SUSTAINABLE PETTING ZOO. ULTIMATELY HE CHOSE THE LATTER AND ADDED MANY MORE ANIMALS AND PENS AND THATS HOW BERGEY'S BARNYARD WAS BORN!
