Meadow’s pups 6 week Update

Meadow pups 6 week update.
We have teeth, mom isn’t a fan. We are running and playing and putting those teeth to work playing and chewing on everything we can fit in our mouths. We are still nursing from mom when she will let us but we are eating softened food out of a pan really well. Applications for us are now open! We will be ready to go home in 3 weeks when we are 9 weeks old.

We are Meadow’s puppies! There are 7 of us, 5 girls and 2 boys. Our mom is a 20lb beagle but we don’t know our dad. Our mom gave birth under a lawnmower in Essex County and we were rescue by BTTR when we were about 10 days old. We are beagle mixes, some of us have short and some have long hair. We may grow to be between 20-55lbs it is hard to say at this age. We are young puppies! We are not housebroken or leash trained, we will chew, nip, jump up, scratch, pee on your carpet, and play with anything we can find. We will need to be taught house manners, how to walk on a leash, basic obedience classes, and receive puppy socialization.
-Age: Currently 6 weeks, ready to go home at 9 weeks (On 11/21)
-Location: Chesapeake, VA 23322 (adoption area within 1.5 hours only)

Meet Lowretta Licks, Taylor Sniff, and Reba McRuff! They are the Country puppies and are available for adoption in the Hampton Roads Area through Beagles to the Rescue. They were born 6/1/19 and are ready to go home now! All three puppies are female, 2 are black and tan with white makings, and 1 is tri-color. They are from an accidental litter of beagles at a hunt club.
Young puppies can be a handful, they are very high energy, they are not housebroken, they will keep you up at night, they bark and howl, they will chew up your stuff, they will nip and scratch, and they need lots of exercise. That being said they are super cute and will grow up to be awesome little beagles! They would do best in a home with: a fenced in yard, older kids (4y+) or another dog to play with, a family willing to take me or lots of long walks and do puppy classes so they can grow into well adjusted dogs.
If you are interested in adopting please put in an application and one of our volunteers will contact you. If you have a question about adopting check out our FAQ list on our website before giving us a call. We generally receive more applications than puppies available.

Miss Lolli-Pup is still searching for a new home. She would love a quiet home with a fenced in yard, another dog to play with, and people that aren’t working all day. She is 7 year old spayed female, UTD on all shots, heartworm negative, and scheduled for a dental cleaning soon. She qualifies for our special rescued senior adoption fee of $50.
