Throw back to one of last years favorite B&T graduates!
Big D came to us dealing with some pretty severe dog reactivity and in need of basic obedience.
His dog reactivity had inadvertently caused a very serious and permanent injury to one of his family members.
This boy was one of the most remarkable dogs I have trained. Anything I showed him once, he took on as LAW going forward! He made such great progress and was an absolute joy to be around.
More recently we got an update that he was breaking all of his place cots due to his size 😂😅🥹, so we recommended and hopefully his owners can find a product that can hold him 🙃
Missing the days where I could work with my giant puppers, hoping those days will return to me, but for now, my trainers have me covered so we can continue to provide services to larger breeds, and I can reminisce by going through old photos of my big mushie squishies while I work on getting back to myself mentally and physically.
Missing you Diesel boy 🖤

Recently received this GEM of an update from B&T Graduate Coconut, AKA Pig, Piggy, Piglet, THE PIG 🐽
Coconut came to us reactive to humans and lacking confidence. She had been to a B&T with another trainer and learned great obedience skills but her reactivity towards strangers, especially men, especially Mexican men, was worse.
We took miss Piggie in for a B&T, built up her confidence, and worked her stranger danger. Her wonderful owners, (who also adopted and gave the best life to our Graduate, Wednesday - Now Waffles) continued what we showed them and took Coconut out on the regular to keep improving her confidence and trust in humans.
At this time THE PIG 🐷 has successfully completed a trip to Mexico with her family with no issues. One of her biggest beefs was with Mexican men, likely due to a traumatic experience. Coconut had a BLAST in Mexico and had no issues with the locals! She also clearly got around in style 😍
We love you and are so proud of you PIGGY 🐷

Big Congratulations to this precious baby bowling ball who graduated his board and train this week!
Rubble came to us as a 8 month old puppy with a whole lot of untamed energy, a bit overweight, having a lack of impulse control, lack of direction, over excitement, and spectacular high drive for training!
He went home after 4 weeks, a balanced pup, ready to behave around his small hoomans, able to relax on place, obey his commands, with off leash reliability and ready to be a pleasurable pet in his family with 4 wonderful children whom he used to knock over on occasion 😂
Gone are his days of romping around without direction, flying around the house like a wild man, chewing everything in and out of sight, and puppy accidents.
Catch him accompanying his Dad at work, loose leash walking around the neighborhood, and confidently adventuring around Southern California like the Paw Patrol celeb he was destined to be!
Rubble taught me a lot about patience and slowing down my process to cater to what he needed to thrive as his best self, I cant thank his dedicated owners enough for the privilege of working with this boy 💙
Can’t wait to see you at group class and to watch you and your handlers continue to grow together kiddo 🥰

I don’t post too much about my personal dogs, but my KB Man is due for a shoutout!
When Indigo started displaying some concerning behaviors for a service dog (mainly anxiety and well, laziness) and then had to undergo ACL surgery, I had to accept the fact that it was time for him to retire.
I was kind of at a loss for what to do and was considering adding another 4 paws to my pack.
It wasn’t until suggested that maybe Kobalt would be a good fit that I even considered him to be capable.
Sometimes we don’t see our own dog’s true potential and need someone else to point out their strengths. I never thought Kobalt would make a good service dog. He’s goofy, his commands were always sloppy, and he gets very excited to do, well, anything.
I decided to take him out on a couple of outings to work on public access and when that boy got in a vest, man did he show up for me.
Our trip to Utah was his ultimate test, and when I say this kid killed the game, thats not even the half of it.
I am so grateful that I found this boy and have some of the best of friends who saw what I didn’t. He has helped me in a way that I never could have imagined, and our bond is something that I will never be able to replace.
Huge thank you to and for pulling this Gem from the shelters and trusting me to be his Momma
I love you KB BOY 💙
For those who are wondering, Indigo is recovering very nicely and is enjoying his retirement parked on his cozy dog bed 🤣

She is a 6 month old GSD and we will be starting her training from scratch for the next couple of months here at B&T!

This team holds a special place in our pack!
Oso came to us with some overall anxious and fearful behavior, and a lack of socialization with other dogs and new people.
After graduating his B&T Oso went home with some new skills and a whole new world of confidence!
He and his Momma have learned a lot and have improved their skills tremendously together!
It is important to remember that dog training isn’t always an uphill battle, sometimes we regress a little and that is okay!
After a break in group class, Oso and his handler worked through some regression with his dog-dog socialization, and after a little bit of practice and perseverance through class they totally nailed it together!
Here at Shades Of Blu we strive to give all of our teams continued support and unlimited access to our group classes so you and your dog can continue to progress together and hold your training!
So proud of this team and all they have and continue to accomplish together!

E-Collar Training can give you and your dog the freedom you need to adventure all over the country!
Blu had a blast on our Utah Roadtrip, hiking, swimming, and zooming off leash!
Lets normalize training our small dogs! Many people don’t think they are smart enough, capable enough, or big enough for advanced training. Those people are wrong!
Bluberri has her advanced obedience down, and participates in many “larger dog” activities such as lure coursing, agility, dock diving, flyball, and is even beginning barn hunt and personal protection.

To see this dog go from the tail-tucked runner at his first lesson, and lunging and snapping at other dogs at his first group class, to the loveable happy wiggly stranger loving boy running around my yard like a wild man playing with all of his new dog friends has been one of the biggest blessings of this job.
These are the transformations I straight up LIVE FOR.
Although I will never forgive for moving to Kentucky with one of my new best pals, I am beyond stoked that he is ready for his move and new life on the farm with a balanced mind state, ready to take on all the challenges life will bring him and co-exist happily with his doggie siblings.
See ya later buddy 🥰🥰🥰
P.S. if I don’t get updates and videos of this kid on that agility course I will be flying to Kentucky, disguised as Cruella, to steal your dog. 😉

These two boys graduated their board and train program together with flying colors!
Troy came to us with a bite record, and his owner having been told he should be euthanized.
In 3 days we had him muzzle free without the need for bite gloves.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are having trouble with a reactive dog and have tried multiple trainers who have failed you.
It takes a special program and experience to know what to do with these cases, and this is what we specialize in!
Troy can now safely be taken in public, to dog friendly restaurants, is a conqueror of all things home depot & lowes, all without a muzzle.
His younger brother Auggie came with him for a puppy B&T and is showing off all his new skills and advanced obedience out there while still working on his excitability!
We can’t wait to present their progress at group class and reunite with these two blue tailed cuties!
