Day brightener:
Love, joy and happiness packaged in fur, wrinkles and waggedy tails!
LVT Week
Some LVTs develop an interest in advancing their career by transitioning to practice management or consulting. This allows them to integrate their love of animals with a passion for business, management and marketing resulting in a meaningful and rewarding career pathway.
LVT Week
Many Licensed Veterinary Technicians develop an interest in managment. Some become Certified Veterinary Practice Managers, managing multi-doctor practices, 24 hour care facilities or specialty and referal practices.
LVT Week
Licensed veterinary technicians can work in private practice, specialty practice, emergency medicine, pharmaceutical or pet food companies, miltary, zoos, acquariums, research laboratories, federal government, or academia such as a university veterinary teaching hospital. LVT Week
For many LVTs like Sam, animals have always been "their thing." Many have enjoyed and worked around animals all their lives.
LVT Week
Did you know that there is a difference between "vet techs" and licensed veterinary technicians (LVTs)? LVTs have successfully completed either an associates degree or 4 year bachelors degree and have passed a licensing examination required by their state. At Centerville Animal Hospital, we currently employ 8 licensed veterinary technicians and 6 students actively enrolled in veterinary technician programs.
LVT Week
LVT Degrees are available on-line as well. At Centerville, we are accustomed and dedicated to mentoring the next generation of veterinary technician professionals. #LVTweek
LVT Week - Licensed Veterinary Technicians are essential.
Veterinary technicians perform many of the functions of registered nurses in the human medical field. They assist veterinarians in the exam room, anesthetize patients, and operate laboratory and imaging equipment.
A great veterinary technician is warm, caring, compassionate...
It's LVT Week!
During National Veterinary Technician Week, we honor their commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for all animals. Please join us in celebrating these important team members.
