Edinburgh Animal Hospital is looking for the perfect Veterinary Assistant. Are you that person? Veterinary Assistants are the doctor’s right hand. They will load appointments into exam rooms, they collect history on all patients and communicate with the veterinarian about the patient. Assistants will restrain pets for the veterinarian in exam rooms and for treatments (blood draws, injections, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.) In the mornings, assistants will restock all exam rooms and the treatment area to prepare for the day.

Job Requirements:

Over the age of 18 years old
Able to lift up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to stand on feet for long periods
Good at multitasking
Able to complete light cleaning tasks
Have a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Basic veterinary knowledge and terminology
Have the willingness to learn and perform tasks
Experience is preferred however, it is not required

Edinburgh Animal Hospital is looking for the perfect kennel attendant! Are you the right person? Daily duties include cleaning cages and/or runs, feeding and refreshing water for animals, and exercising/playing with the animals outside. Veterinary kennel attendants during the morning will bathe animals. In addition to taking care of the animals, attendants will also assist in technician appointments with restraint and nail trims.

Job Requirements:
• Over the age of 18 years old
• Able to lift over 40 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Good at multitasking
• Able to clean and do laundry
• Have a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to learn how to restrain dogs and cats
• Have the willingness to learn and perform tasks
• Experience is preferred, however is not required
