Tomorrow marks the first day of December, and that means the holiday season is officially here! To celebrate, we’re hosting a festive photo contest for our most stylish patients. Here is how to enter:

Bring your pet in for a visit any time before Christmas Day and make sure they’re dressed in their holiday best! Ugly sweaters, sparkling dresses, festive accessories, we want to see it all. Our team will snap a photo during your visit, and on Christmas Eve we’ll post all the participants for our followers to vote on.

Voting will run through New Year’s Eve, and the winner will be announced right after to start the new year off with a cheer!

Gratitude in Action at Vital Vet ❤️🐾

At Vital Vet, we’ve created a tradition that keeps gratitude alive every day which is our Kudos Jar and Shout-Out Wall. Whenever we see a teammate go above and beyond, like comforting a nervous pet, helping a client through a tough visit, or just spreading good energy, we write them a shout-out and drop it in the jar.

When we need a pick-me-up during rounds (or on those long, busy days), we pull one out, read it aloud, and celebrate each other. Every note then goes up on our Shout-Out Wall in the treatment area as a growing collage of kindness, teamwork, and appreciation. It’s a simple reminder that gratitude doesn’t just belong to one month, it’s something we practice every single day.

We had our Vital Vet Friendsgiving last Thursday, and it was a blast. The theme was straight out of the 70s with crockpots, funky colors, and all the retro vibes. We even found a Pillsbury Family Cookbook from 1973, full of wonderfully questionable recipes, and decided to bring a few of them to life alongside some modern-day classics. It was a fun way to slow down, share a meal, and enjoy time together before the holiday rush kicks in. Swipe through the photos to see the wild variety we ended up with!

🦃 Fact Check Friday: “A Little Thanksgiving Treat Won’t Hurt My Pet!”
❌ False , but not for the reason you might think.

It’s not just about what’s toxic, it’s about what’s too much. Holiday food, extra guests, and tempting smells can turn your pet’s happy day into a tummy-trouble nightmare. The stress of breaks in routine and even “safe” foods can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

Keep it simple with these tips!
🐾 Keep routines steady with same meal times and potty breaks
🐾 Offer special pet-safe treats only in moderation
🐾 Remind guests not to share food
🐾 For anxious pets, set up a quiet “retreat room” away from the chaos

🦃Heads up, Vital Vet family!🦃
We’ll be closed this morning until 1 pm for a team meeting. Its a chance for us to learn, grow, and keep leveling up the care we give your pets.
After that, we’re taking a little time to celebrate together with our own "Friendsgiving" potluck feast. This team pours a lot of heart into what we do, and today we’re filling our plates and our cups a bit.
