This holiday season, the Vital Vet team chose to give thanks in the most purrfect way, a Soupsgiving Celebration! We are so grateful for our new family of Pet Parents and their friendly critters and today we were able to take the time to reflect on that joy with some delicious homemade soups!

🌟 Meet Gertrude, Sara’s 10-year-old bulldog mix! 🌟

Gertrude doesn’t ask for permission—she takes what she wants! When she first arrived at the shelter, she escaped, sneezed in Sara’s lap, and claimed her as her person. A quick call and some paperwork later, she was home.

With more heart than brain cells (her charm, of course!), Gertrude has been by Sara’s side ever since, proving that love finds you when you least expect it.

🐾 Our next Senior Pet Spotlight is from Dr. Kimbrel, featuring her two beloved seniors, Eden and Kitty Kitty Penelope! 🐾

Eden might have more scars from her past than a pirate ship, but she’s still out here running like she’s auditioning for the Puppy Olympics—proving that age is just a number, and heartworms are a distant memory! She's living her best life, walking the bay like it’s her personal runway, and showing us all that nothing says "I love you" like a 13-year-old pit bull who’s convinced she’s still got the energy of a toddler on espresso!

Kitty Kitty Penelope, at 11, may have the sass of a teenager and the wisdom of a thousand ancient cats. She follows Eden around like a fluffy little shadow, plotting her next nap location or deciding if it’s the right moment to grace us with her presence—or more likely, tolerate us from a distance. When she’s not overseeing Eden’s adventures, you can find her sunbathing with the bearded dragon, her true bestie (we’re just here for the snacks). Meet Leanne’s senior pets for Senior Pet Month! 🐾

First up is Jethro, an 8-year-old Parvo survivor and the biggest yet gentlest soul around. Don’t let his size fool you—this big guy is afraid of his own shadow!

Next is Echo, also 8, who was found as a stray kitten with a unique stride due to congenital back leg abnormalities.

Finally, we have Cailin, a spirited 9-year-old tripod adopted from Hope for Life Rescue, who doesn’t let missing a leg hold her back one bit!

We're kicking off Senior Pet Month by showcasing our staff's beloved senior pets! First up, we have team member Holly and her 13-year-old tortie, Ariat. Ariat came to Holly as a semi-feral kitten, left outside a vet hospital with a fractured pelvis. She’s a bit shy and will growl or hide when people come to the door, but with Holly, she’s as snuggly as they come—always curling up on her chest and filling her face with fluff. Ariat also has a strict bedtime routine, meowing loudly from the top of the stairs when it’s time for her humans to head to bed.

Congratulations to Our Halloween Contest & Raffle Winners!
