The New Year is just a few days away! Here are our top pet safety tips so you can celebrate the New Year as safely as pawsible:
*Keep all pets indoors
*Make sure pets have an ID and are chipped
*Keep human food and alcohol away from your pet, and relay to any guests of this as well.
*Keep your pet in a cozy area with music or a TV on. These sounds help to drown out any party noises and/or fireworks.

Arthritis is extremely common in pets, especially as they age. Signs of arthritis in pets include (but are not limited to):
*Stiff or swollen joints
*Difficulty standing from a lying position
*Difficulty going upstairs or jumping
*Reduced muscle volume in the rear limbs

It’s a Girl! And a girl and a girl and a girl… in total 5 girls and 2 boys born this morning via c-section. One baby was successfully born at home (difficult for a French Bulldog), but the second one was breeched and got stuck. And the best news is, even that baby is doing just fine now and happily squeaking away, because of our wonderful surgeons, and attentive technicians. (She’s the one you see in the video.) Mom is recovering nicely and all babies look great! ❤️ #ludwigscornervet #veterinarymedicine #frenchbulldog #csection #frenchie #frenchiepuppies #emergencycsection

Prime example of why we recommend flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives even through the winter. Ticks, especially, do not die in the winter months. They burrow into areas that stay warmer, like under any piles of rotting leaves or vegetation. And on any given day over 40°F or so, out they come looking for a meal. I just found this little sucker crawling on the back of my hand after handling a dog.
