Chase is Melvin’s 10 year old border collie that had a spinal cord injury on May 11th.

Thanks to generous donations he was able to go to the wonderful rehabilitation program at West Chester Veterinary Medical Center, run by Dr. Carrie Woodcock and her team. When he was dropped off he was just starting to try to stand on his own and wag his tail. After 2 weeks of hard work Chase was standing and taking steps on his own!

However last Friday he contracted a kidney infection and needed to be hospitalized. The money set aside for his rehab program has quickly disappeared due to additional tests, procedures, x-rays and 24/7 care.

A Go Fund Me has been set up to help offset these expenses. Thank you for your support!

Chase Update‼️

We would like to update everyone on Chase. It is one day at a time but he is in his wheelchair and getting around at our hospital. We would like to thank everyone who donated to our hospital.

Chase will be staying with us and continue his rehab treatment until he is completely healed! Then he will reunite with his owner. Thank you everyone again! 🐾

His jumping abilities began to really shine when he was started under saddle by Melvin Dutton. “When I saw him jumping in preparation for a keuring, I knew he had more talent than any horse I had ever seen,” Malone recalled. After the keuring, Judgement ISF went to Michael Matz for further training.
