What a week!
I’m going to start trying to do a weekly pictorial review…let’s see what happens.
Page 1&2 New recipe this week! Instead of a summer menu, this year we created a “Mushrooms for Morons” basic cooking guide- but included is a new recipe for lettuce wraps. A simple saute and a delicious and healthy meal awaits.
Page 3&4 - Playing with my food. Lettuce wraps and somen noodles with fresh veggies and misozuke pickled mushrooms. Greens filled pansotti and salsa di noci are topped with simple sautéed morels. It took 3 hours to make the pansotti and sauce, but it was worth it:)
Page 5 - this week we lost our beloved cat, Burton. For 16 years he has been my dear companion, and for the last five my constant one. We already miss our family couch cuddles and morning meows. The tears will eventually stop, but the memories of the joys he brought will hopefully never fade. Never has such a little cat cast such a large shadow.
