Today is our “official” wedding anniversary. Ty has always been a trooper for tolerating my love for animals. There was no way we were going to leave the critters out of the fun.

All of the animals in the photo have crossed the rainbow bridge with the exception of Chester and Sweet Pea. They still live with us and you can see them in the shop.

A past “me” moment. I’ve worked with reindeer at several zoos/animal parks. They are some of the neatest animals. Did you know that their hair is hollow to allow for buoyancy when crossing water or that their antlers grow 1 1/2 to 2 inches a week when they are in velvet? Both males and females grow antlers each year. They are also used for meat, milk, fur and as a mode of transportation by Laplanders.
