5 Spoiled babies! It’s going to be so cold tonight that we decided to bring the babies inside. Charlie is cooling it in Ken’s arms, Jack is on the dog bed, Baylee is on the couch(thank goodness I have a cover on that couch!) Punch is on one bed, Bug is watching tv with me and Ramsey is in his kennel in the dining room!! What a spoiled bunch of ’kids’!!

She new that bird was there. I don’t think Ken will ever trust her completely! Even tho she’s been right for 14 1/2 years!!!

Took Baylee by herself so she could point and not just back since she can’t run as fast as the others. Also took Jack for a car ride. He loves being close to whoever is driving!

Got home and gave Baylee her birthday present. 2 brand new bumpers. Ken and I then went to the pond with her where she had a really good time! That girl would rather retrieve bumpers (pond or land) than eat. You’d never know she was 14 if she wasn’t so gray haired now. I think she has had a great birthday!!

It’s so hard to believe it’s been 14 years since you came into our lives sweet girl. You have been a rock in our lives and I will forever be greatfull to Stacie for placing you with us!! Our bodies are slowing down and we’re just a couple of old girls still trying to have fun. But after birthing 44 children, becoming a Master Hunter, a NAHVDA champion, and an Amateur NSTRA champion, we’re still standing!! So we wish you a Happy 14th Birthday my sweet girl!! I’ll be home soon with your new toy to retrieve in the pond!!!

It's a sad day at the Fleming Farm today!! We suddenly lost our 'just turned 10 year old' Daisy. Joyken's Follow That Dream. Apparently she suffered a heart attack. As sad as we are, we are content that she didn't suffer. Daisy just turned 10 last week on August 25th. She wasn't the best hunting dog, but she was the best companion to Ken. She was his best friend. He took her to the pond this morning and she retrieved the dummies with no problems at all. She loved the water. She had a tremendous nose and could find a bird like crazy. But unless the bird was wild or had been there overnight, she would not hold. Sometimes she would lay down. Have no idea why she did this because on a wild bird, she was as staunch and would hold til you kicked it up. But, that was ok. We loved her! When she was first born, no one wanted to pick her because of her strange facial markings. So we ended up keeping her. And never regretted it. Her time her produced 2 litters. Punch and Jack are out of those litters. She had a real protective nature and you normally did not get out of your vehicle unless we told her it was alright. She was terrified of thunderstorms! If we had a storm, you would find her under the bed or more likely in mommy's lap holding her tight. This has hit us so hard because we weren't expecting her to go before her mom, Baylee..
We'll miss you sweet girl! See you at the bridge when our time comes!
