Once again I'm having to post this. The property at 13508 Route 1 Chester is closed it is no longer our facility. This is directly for people that either don't know how to read or chose to ignore the Ño trespassing Signs and the smile your on camera signs and the huge sign explaining the feral cats. Yes you have seen kittens inside the building these have been dropped at this location and are waiting to be picked up by fosters. Because of people not obeying signs ALOT of attention has been brought to this colony forcing us to move them because people have left rotten food hit them in the parking lot because people are dumping food in the parking lot drawings them out among other things. This is private property effective immediately anyone coming past the signs or dropping food in the parking lot will be arrested for trespassing you are not above the law and myself and the other caregivers of this colony are fed up!

We need your help!
This sweet baby was left tied to the side on the Claims Co Services and fastest Lab building on the Boulevard and Boykins Avenue here in the City of Colonial heights. He was left with no food, no water, just had the collar and leash tied to the fence post. We are currently waiting for camera footage but in the meantime if you have any further information, please call the shelter at 804-520-9397 ext.5

Once again I'm posting this in a matter of days.... .
Stop taking kittens from the mom. Just because you don't see mom doesn't mean that she abandoned them. She's out hunting for food. Leave them alone all your doing is creating a bigger problem by taking them now within days she will go back into heat and have more kittens. Before taking kittens unless sick or injured reach out to get the mom trapped so she can be fixed before "rescuing" the healthy kittens .......Just STOP!

Hey all just a reminder as you know we are having to relocate the feral cats at the old facility to further back so I could use help this Saturday from 10 til 2 doing clean up in and around the old trailer in the back part of the property. We could use any old plywood 2x4's fencing or chicken wire anything we can build a temporary catio on the trailer to acclimate the cats so they don't come back up front. If you have mowers and w**d eaters that would be a big help. Need muscle to move crap out of the old trailer. I'll bring a hand truck. Thx in advance. Hey everyone! We wanted to let you know about a special event coming up on September 8th that will honor our friend Kat Simons 🦋 The Friends of Kat Simons Foundation, dedicated to continuing the community support that Kat Simons had dedicated her life to, invites everyone to join in a day of live music, charity, and remembrance.

The event will feature live music from local talents, Ryan Colton & Not Just 90's Unplugged, Susan Greenbaum Band, 64 Crayons Band, and KOS Band.

Come and enjoy local food vendors, live music and meet pet adoptable pets! Many of the organizations that Kat Simons supported will be on site providing information and support.

This is a family friendly event and all donations from the event will directly benefit the Friends of Kat Simons Foundation, helping continue support many local charities that Kat Simons cherished.

I was able to secure a few last minute feral appts. So I headed to the highlands maintenance shed to trap a pregnant cat. Not only did I get her but I got her 3 12 week old kittens and the daddy. It was a good day.

Stop it at ever shelter and rescue

Dear Lord (or whoever you pray to) please make today better than yesterday. 🙏 Please remind people not to tie their dogs up to our fence or front door and not to leave boxes of kittens in our parking lot. To the people fibbing about the “stray” pets that are actually theirs-STOP. To the people finding pets in surrounding jurisdictions, or “off of 95 somewhere” and fibbing to gain admission to RACC-STOP. We are overrun with pets who do not need to be in our shelter right now. Their owners, finders, friends, neighbors need to come get them PLEASE! P.s. we have security cameras and you will be charged with abandonment for leaving your pet outside RACC. You are putting everyone at risk with this decision. STOP 🛑 PLEASE STOP. 🛑
